I heard interview on NPR this morning that I think sums this up. Guy says he hates his choices but would rather vote for someone that is accused of terrible things than someone that is in favor of killing millions of human beings. Talk about racism all you want, and racism is a big part of Trump's appeal, but the real reason Trump won is the Supreme Court (aka abortion). He's an idiot but he bet that if he promised to fix abortion he would have a base that would never leave him--and he was right.
I lost a job to one of those women. Once she got promoted, she came gunning after me because she knew I knew more than she did. The not so funny part is that I didn't even care that she got promoted over way more qualified people. I just wanted to sit in my seat, do my job and take care of my kids. Now, I have a job I absolutely hate in a toxic environment making $20,000 less. I hate the fucking cunt.
Sadly, we've all got one of those women in our pasts. I've met men who are like that too, but women seem to be more insecure about their place in the workforce, so they get nervous when they see a woman nearby who is smarter than they are. I'm sorry to hear that you had to take a pay cut, and I hope you find something better soon. There's nothing worse than a toxic work environment, it really sucks the life out of you.
