Strictly, 50% are below the median, but for most large distributions, the median and average (mean) are pretty close.

I suspect there's a huge number of low IQ voters at Trump rallies and one or two REALLY REALLY SMART guys...https://alittlebitleft.file...

Nah. They'll blame it on everyone but themselves. But to see that dumbfounded look on their faces after they get conned is PRICELESS...

I work in high tech. Sometimes I wonder if guy who fills the vending machines is smarter. He gave me a refund today for stale product, plus a free product. Now that's smart to build loyalty.

Many of my co-workers may have been smart, but they're poorly educated and just keep getting dumber and dumber everyday because being a Conservatard means you must be ignorant of the corruption and lies that makes up the GOP.

This tech industry male is seriously impressed. Although I am lefty enough to prefer that there weren't any loans to forgive.

I mean ffs I graduated from the best university in Europe and didn't pay a penny for tuition, shortly before Tony fucking Blair hits way-ed that shit to death. And now look what a shit hole my homeland has turned itself into!

Dominic, I went ahead and fixed it, leaving the error between <del> tags, so everyone can see your shame but at least stop correcting you.

And yes, I really do have to check which state Mitch McConnell is from every single time.

Nah. You can fix it AND leave a tiny note about your error. Then readers will stop correcting you, and even appreciate that you went back and fixed it.

Our intern, folks. He thinks he must suffer. Happily, we can help with that.

I dunno, I think hyperbole is worse than genocide. Oh, and you're banhammered.

May be too boring for Dear Shitferbrains, though.

Think for a few seconds about what "average" means.

Or don't. Either way, somewhere in the aether, George Carlin is smiling. (He's up in heaven now, with Kurt Vonnegut).

In this specific instance, Dick is at least more wholesome than Dahl.

OT aside: You're saved. Bad_Millennial finally moved out of my guest room, so I'm no longer trying to trick you into taking her off my hands.

porch monkey (n)A person who sits on the porch and watches the neighbors.

At least you're not on my lawn.

I usually use lamp posts for that .... they tend to work better and are easier to wire.

What else is on your front lawn? Anything up on cinder blocks?

Sorry to rub it in. I appreciate you generously taking your punishment. Now never do it again. :p

I was helping out in a classroom, here all our students get Macs to take home starting in 6th grade, I told a student to minimize her window. She had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I repeated it a few times then I finally said make your open screen small. She said Ooooh, click the little line!!

......

........

I was just.... I dunno... I learned how to take apart a computer and put it back together before I could properly type. I could modify software and build websites in HTML and I remember using.... Dreamweaver.... Lol!

I died of dysentery a lot.

I just think they need some basic computer skills classes that are mandatory. I also think they need some classes, or even some half day workshops starting in 6th grade about responsible social media usage.

This is just as much a part of their everyday as reading, social studies, and science, etc... I mean, their learning about that stuff ON a computer!! We have to teach the basics. We're doing them a disservice if we don't.
