I am fine with reading it. I'm sure it will be entertaining. I just don't want to see anymore of his ugly face. I do like the idea of exposing all the other creeps in Congress though. I hope they do it.
In TikTok is good for something news: I read there’s a trend of “ignoring" celebrities and influencers by not liking, commenting, or engaging with their content. Apparently the youts have had enough of the faux authenticity of celebrity. Keep going kids, suffocate the influencer pox of their oxygen.
Guess who's getting a new Macbook delivered tomorrow to replace the one witth the janked-up screen that fucked off a week ago? And this kindly-loaned but loathed tablet?
Yep. *sips oat milk latte without poisonous grass-fed whey protein*
Isn’t it funny how Republicans, who were all screaming “Soros, Soros, Soros!” with zero evidence that he was actively doing anything other than donating his money to good causes, are now perfectly fine with Elmo being a irrigate President and buying our government?
Good news for me is 1) I'm out thru the end of the week on doctors' order so in-building chaos is not my issues and 2) I'm talking to HR today anyway about something else so I can ask them the shutdown protocol when I am not there to get the forms I need to sign (usually we can just email them).
These next two days are going to suck. For me, I mean, not generally.
Today is the last day with students for the year. Which means most of them won't be there, because why come to school on the last day before a break? And I had to have all my grades updated yesterday, so I have nothing to do in my likely empty classroom, and very little to use to motivate students who do show up to do anything. Might try to do something fun, but that rarely succeeds on days like this, because there's so few students and they'd much rather just stare into their phones.
Tomorrow, however, is not the start of break for us, but a day where we have to do online training in AI. I suspect it will be in how to use AI to further make our jobs meaningless, not in how to prevent cheating with AI. So that will be fun.
Once again, I am so very grateful to have retired before I had to deal with AI in the high school History and English classroom. I just can't even imagine.
Are you allowed to let em be on their phones? Cause you can ask them to look stuff up on their phones. Like today, we are going down the rabbit hole on this subject. Let's go see what we can find on the intertubes
only do not say intertubes or they will think you are a dork
I often can't get these kids to do work that actually gets them closer to graduation, and very few of them care about learning for learning's sake, so that's not likely to go anywhere, either.
I remember at one point trying to teach my students to use excel to calculate the math problems they were supposed to be doing and even when it LITERALLY GIVES YOU THE ANSWER TO WRITE ON YOUR PAPER and I had some who would not do any of it. Just obstinate to work.
Which reminds me, our new superintendent, our new HR people, and our building's counselors all insist on e-mailing out newsletters. This is something that just started this year. I really want to tell them to blog on their own time.
Weird, my place is the opposite. In the name of transparency the new Head Honcho is doing a weekly org-wide email and we all love it. But then he's talking about RELEVANT stuff.
It needs to be banned or sold. We will never know what the actual national security threat is, but members of Congress know and so do the judges that have heard the cases so far. Apparently, it is bad.
At this point, I don't give a shit about Matt Gaetz. Six months from now he will be considered quaint.
I am fine with reading it. I'm sure it will be entertaining. I just don't want to see anymore of his ugly face. I do like the idea of exposing all the other creeps in Congress though. I hope they do it.
“And the people investigating me hated me.” Everyone hates you Matthew so that excuse has lost it’s effectiveness.
Home now, having undergone hip replacement surgery 2 days ago. My son is here caring for me for a week.
Hubby had it a couple of years ago, if you do your PT homework, you will do great.
Be well soon.
Tabz are up. Dok Zoom initiates another battle in The War On Christmas.

oh hey, I do that too!
By not being on any of those things ^.^ Once again, ahead of the trends
I'll take it.

I too try to be better at the cyber.

it is already the case

hell, Trump himself has been acting like his lap dog. Yes, sir, with tears in my eyes, can I have some more?
Orange Mussolini probably needs a loadn.
He loves/hates the fact that elmo has real money.
The ghost of Paul Harvey is just itching to release "Elon Musk: The Rest of the Story"
I'm just itching to read Elon Musk's obituary.

Best to start planning.
Glad you are able to take time off.
Yep. REALLY eats into sick leave if I need it next year but I have it for now.

Still yucky with The Cruds. Thinking I might go by The Doc in The Box.
Just stand back from the lid as you are turning the crank.
"Wish it into the cornfield!"
Now, now. Don't be mean to the Doc.

only do not say intertubes or they will think you are a dork
Also unless your diction is very precise, they will undoubtedly hear it as "innertubes" and they'll be really confused. And think you're a dork.
I often can't get these kids to do work that actually gets them closer to graduation, and very few of them care about learning for learning's sake, so that's not likely to go anywhere, either.

One of my bosses already uses it to write emails.
That's a big part of the problem. I don't need to know that my superintendent enjoyed a play at one of our elementary schools.
Yep. That could do it. Ours is like:
Here is the State of the Agency (blandest part usually)
Here are any recent Decrees Head Honcho has made (90% how leave will work for holidays, 10% other stuff)
Here are upcoming Big Events to consider
Here are any recently hired bigwigs, say hello
Here are job openings in the agency if you or someone you know is looking
Here are safety concerns for this time of year (80% weather, 20% crazy shit people do around certain holidays)
Did you all get the safety thing on frying turkeys during November?
We get that every year now and it always surprises me that people are still dropping frozen birds into boiling oil XD
The employee viewpoint survey showed that 37% of respondents didn't think they got enough HR news.
I mean, that's what it would be where I work.
Do those 37% work in HR? Would explain a lot ...
Hell if I know, I never fill those things out.
