One other thing I will say is that even though Peter Strzok is brave, the FBI still needs to hire more black people because black people know both how and where to look for all this stuff.
IMO, this is the real danger of implicit bias. I only know of three black people who have worked for the FBI or who are former federal prosecutors. Two of them are on TV all the time and one is my sorority sister.
Christopher Wray has said the FBI is FINALLY going to treat white nationalist domestic terrorism as a threat. But the FBI has had data on it since at least 2009, and Sherrilyn Ifill has been writing about Russian mastery of American denial of American racism, and how they planned to use it to fracture American democracy, since 2015-16.
And not even Peter Strzok - or Andrew McCabe - has been paying enough attention to that.
Biggest question: will the next administration go after him?
