Are you planning to host a banquet soon, like a wedding or maybe a measles party? Haha, of course you're not hosting a measles party, because no one is doing that, dummy. But suppose you're having one of those gay weddings we keep reading about, with a cake, because you found a bakery whose religion wasn't violated when they baked a cake and sold it to you, and you get the bill afterward, and, hello, what is that 20 percent fee at the bottom? A "service fee" has been tacked onto your bill!
"Waiter there are snails on her plate. Now get them out of here before she sees them! Look away, just look away, keep your eyes that way! You would think that in a fancy restaurant at these prices you could keep the snails off the food! There are so many snails there you can’t even see the food! Now take those away and bring us those melted cheese sandwich appetizers you talked me out of!"
"is used to cover operating expenses". WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE CHARGING FOR WITH THE MENU TARIFF? FFS, that's how a price structure works: "Wholesale price + operating costs+ profit = retail price".
where my daughter works- I found out they charge $25 an hour for guest services people- coat check, door people(to make sure you have an invite), direct guests to the various rooms. The staff get paid $10 an hour- where does the $15 go? No benefits and you have to buy your own dress clothing( made sure she didn't spend a lot- just has to be head to toe black and your shirt has to have buttons).
thanks for the nytimes review. I'm willing to bet that the patrons are out to impress their friends, their date or most likely feed their own ego. the food could never justify the exorbitant price.
I think the most expensive per capita meal I've ever had was at SushiSamba in Vegas (this could be incorrect in that in earlier years I had an expense account, and who the fuck knows?). So, I was there with one of my kids and some of his friends and it got a little out of hand because of the alcohol, and it wound up being about $250 per.
The thing is, it was terrific. The sushi was superb, the beef was superb, the drinks were alcoholic. A++, I'd go again (In fact, I have, but with a little more consumer awareness). I don't have a bigger adjective than "superb". I've had better meals for less, but only a handful.
Which brings me around to $400? Plus 20%, so $480? Without drinkies? The fuck?
Re: LePlague. So, in the NEXT four years while you have this asshat governating you, is there a chance that the Democrat and the Independent could play liars' dice or something and have one of them get the fuck out of the way?
I just googled the phrase "Gateway Hospitality Group is evil," to help complete the circle.
You absolutely have to try these Artisinal Donges du Rattus with Sel Gris Organic Grey Sea Salt! Management specialty!

Color me simple, but shouldn't "operating and administrative expenses" be covered in the "price"?

Yay !
review from the NY Timeshttp://www.nytimes.com/2011...
Myself, and as a former waiter at an upscale restaurant, fuck this place.
explain to me again who are the makers and who are the takers ?
if you are a person, you shouldn't want to do that.
Karl Marx explained it right in the 1870s, which is why he's been slandered for so long.

Fucking Adam Smith would shudder at this bullshit.
Wait, you mean Boca Raton?
