Noticed you skipped over the BBB, which is a much more critical part of Biden's legislative agenda, and why the Squad voted against the BIF, because it was the carrot meant to get Republicans on board a much more comprehensive climate change bill.

Again, these are all beside the point, which is that for all the snide dismissals you have of the Squad, it's obvious that the party brass are terrified of actual reformers having power because of how quickly they work to stamp out any sign of a progressive challenger (see Cisneros, Jessica).

I'm well aware. Republican intransigence is to be expected, but Democrats seem to like to pretend Sinema and Manchin aren't members of their party responsible for tanking the biggest parts of their party's legislative agenda. Either the party brand actually means something and it'll do what it takes

"and why the Squad voted against the BIF, because"

The "because" doesn't matter. They gave you bullshit reasons for siding with the Republicans, and you should be smarter than to fall for it.

They are members of the party in name at least. Without them, the republicans would control the Senate and nothing would get passed. With them, we have to make compromises to pass anything.

That’s the reality we have to deal with until we have a real majority.

WTF is the point of Kevin McCarthy's blathering about Washington crossing the Delaware? Is this relevant?

That's a resolution, genius. Does not actually do anything to fix the environment. It is a purely performative thing.
