If so, I hope it was due to a gynecological problem that her health insurance inexplicably won't cover.

Will you Tea Party Baggers be angry at all the government waste involved in paying all those congresspeople (and all their support personnel) and all that, just to make nothing happen at all?

Oh that's right, you guys can't see reality through your FOX-colored glasses! Nevermind! REPEAL ON, CRANKY AMERICANS

I have to get this off my chest.

The Repubicans trotted out their old "efficiency of the post office, compassion of the IRS" meme to characterize the "government run health care". First of all, the post office delivers a letter to any address in the country for 44 cents. I would charge myself 44cents just to walk to the mailbox.

And the IRS has a thankless job. But they've always been nice to me, even when telling me I screwed up. Much nicer than my experience -- years ago -- with an insurance company who tried to define pregnancy as a "pre-existing condition". That was some argument, hoo-wee.

But why can't we just as easily say "government run health care" will have the skill of the military, the efficiency of that government-created internet and the compassion of Congress.
