Best Tex-Mex, maybe. The best (and most varied) Mexican food is in (surprise!) Mexico.

Funny how the natural gas pipelines in cold states never ice up.

This is the most impressive of all because it has so much passion and hope in it-- just so you can say memristor. Did you make it up? No-- I don't want to know.

They would for sure fight to keep "the feds" out of it in that case. Cause it would be a big "Texas" uterus.

They need to be looking into the latest generation nuclear power. There are systems in development that are safer and produce far less waste than in the past that can cost effectively provide that backup.

A couple of things, you don't need sunshine, you just need light so it isn't that limiting. Also, offshore windfarms always have wind, in one direction or the other. There are a lot of claims made that tidal power is better as it never stops. It helps if you have a lot of coast and not much interior, which is pretty much the opposite of the US . . .

Putting a lot of money and talent behind good old R&D would help too. At least as much as more energy, there's a need for a clean, efficient way of putting it in containers and shipping it around. Developing a storage battery ten times more efficient than anything the world has right now shouldn't, if it's tackled on the same scale, with the same intensity, they tackled developing a nuclear bomb, be impossible.
