“The record does not explain how Petitioner [Trump] had significant expenses without any concomitant income from his consulting business,"

I think the explanation would be that Petitioner [Trump] is a shitty "businessman" who inherited everything he's owned and spent a lifetime squandering it away.

That's less than $500K. And, TPM has pointed out that NYC actually checks this against NY state income tax returns.

This is at least one reason why we'll never see Trump's tax returns, though we should never stop pointing out his failure to release them. Either he's a yooge billionaire who's too incompetent to get any return on his own investment, or he's far less than the billionaire he claims to be.

It's been established that he screws his employees out of tips that they are legally entitled too.

How much worse a tipper can you be?

If there is a way to be worse, I'm sure Trump will think of it sooner or later.

Well, if he were worth $10 Bil as he claims, and he was making a pitiful 1% return on his capital, he'd be bringing in $100 Mil. $500K is half of 1% of that. Not even Trump could be that awful a businessman. The amazing thing is that his unquenchable need to grift makes him do this sort of crap for $500. That's not even a decent dinner in the class he pretends to.

It's mind-blowing to me that he can utter the words "Crooked Hillary" without bursting into either flames or uncontrollable laughter.

edit: Yeah, I had that backwards. $300 for those making under $500K. Even worse.

If Trump won, he'd be able to do his press conferences by phoning Fox & Friends, because everyone else would have had their credentials pulled for being pissy to him.

I'm trying to think of any business that he as actually owned (not just had his name on) that hasn't failed. What little bit he did have going for him (Trump International in Vegas, whatever that shitty tv show he had...) he threw out the window when he started this insane presidential campaign.

There aren't any that haven't failed, are there?

Hmm maybe I should rethink my "lawsuits make you rich" strategy. I may adopt "having rich parents makes you rich" instead.
