Actually I think he is borrowing from a John D. Rockefeller story. His father apparently gave him the same don't-trust-anyone advice. Anyway, one day young John D. had climbed up in tree. His father came out and called to him to jump into his arms. You can guess the outcome. Moral of stories: both young individuals concerned eventually developed similar sociopathic personalities.

And what's truly awful about it is that Don Jr. thinks this is a GOOD story. Kinda like the Romney kids thinking tying the dog to the car roof was an admirable and clever thing for their dad to do.

This advice fits perfectly with my take on what makes Trump tick. Remember when he first started running? What did he say most often? 'They love me.'

You know who didn't love him? Mommy and Daddy, who packed him off to brat school.

You know who he learned profoundly to distrust? Mommy and Daddy
