Well said Marcie. One of the main take-aways throughout Trump's endeavors to resolve the Ukraine matter is that he always winds up with egg over his face. It seems that there is no limit to the amount of humiliation that Trump is willing and able to take. If he steps back, however, and thinks about why it is that he is constantly making a fool of himself, he'll see that Putin is the one theme that runs through Trump's humiliations. The more Putin plays Trump as a sucker, the more the rest of the world respects Putin's strength and ability to make Trump look like a cross between a moron and an imbecile. Bottom line for Trump: Take the lead and rely on nothing that Putin says or does.
I wish somebody knowledgeable would write about the beautiful peace deal Trump struck to end the war in Afghanistan. From what I remember he forced the then government to release a bunch of Taliban fighters from prison because they were going to be peaceful and respectful. The Taliban also promised it was going to treat women much better than they had in the past and stop being extremists. We all know how well that turned out. As Trump is forcing his crappy deal down Ukraine's throat and taking Putin's word as gospel, I think people should be reminded of Trump's glorious track record in regard to trusting dictators.
"he forced the then government to release a bunch of Taliban fighters from prison" including al-Logani, who committed the Abbey Gate bombing that Trump likes to blame on Biden.
this is--without a doubt--THE most fucked-up timeline in my entire 68 yrs on this planet and in this stupid fucking country...gawd, i hate these fucking people 🙄
This fills me with more disgust for Trump, Musk and Rubio than I already had. As a dual citizen with U.S. and Canada I am deeply ashamed and angry that people with absolutely zero humanity or morals are treating what were previously our allies with such utter disrespect. Not to mention that the U.S. will never again be trusted to keep their word for having betrayed Ukraine this way after they promised to defend them if they gave up their nuclear weapons. There will be nothing left but hatred and disgust for the U.S. by the world before the year is out if these horrible people are not stopped.
i'm dual too. and also HORRIFIED (though i was just telling a family friend in toronto that i am very sorry we are invading soon but i hope i can do justice to her charming single family home in sherwood park...)
An extra rant, intensified air strikes in the absence of corresponding activity on the ground are historically an indicator that the side making the strikes is running out of resources, troops and general momentum for offensive activity. Even now, Ukraine is not the one losing.
Russia is bleeding out in this war. Putin's last play is tfg's help. It could already be too late. That 200 billion in Russian assets will buy a lotta artillery shells.

"Traitor." It takes a real traitor to mistake the actions and words of a patriot for treason.
Or else it's simply projection.

May Trump find permanent peace, and soon.
This is not a death wish; I merely hope he finds enlightenment and withdraws from the world. Far, far from the world.
Trump's treatment of Ukraine...all sickening, all the time.
"WHO ARE YOU WITH?" Trump's new favorite counterattack to reporters. Get someone in there who will say "FOX!"

I thought I'd seen some stuff (Nixon), but that looks almost laughable.

Where's W? Where's Romney? Where's Obama & Clinton, FFS? DO SOMETHING
Once upon a time, calling someone a "traitor" in public was a very serious thing.
sikorski's anne applebaum's husband right?
this is like some unedited late stage marvel script where ALL the good guys are lined up on one side lobbing pocket constitutions at thanos.
or something.

About time. We've screwed the world over for too long because we were BIG AND STRONG.

Marcie, you’re right, what Trump doing to Ukraine is disgusting. I can’t even finish your piece. Sorry!
An extra rant, intensified air strikes in the absence of corresponding activity on the ground are historically an indicator that the side making the strikes is running out of resources, troops and general momentum for offensive activity. Even now, Ukraine is not the one losing.
Russian army? Conscripts and NK mercenaries.
If I was a NK, I'd take the job on the off chance I could escape to the West.
Russia is bleeding out in this war. Putin's last play is tfg's help. It could already be too late. That 200 billion in Russian assets will buy a lotta artillery shells.
Krasnov is getting increasingly huffy about Ukraine’s refusal to get down on its knees and give Putin a BJ in reward for his genius.
Trump can go play with himself. I think he can still find his play piece.
Wow
