Occam's razor is foreign to most conspiracists. They prefer to run with the most convoluted and grandiose version of alleged events that they can conceive. Real conspiracies certainly have occurred, but they tend to be almost boringly simple. Example: the plot to decapitate the victorious Northern government at the end of the Civil War. Some angry southerners got together and apparently planned to murder President Lincoln and several other high-ranking members of his government. Nothing too complicated there--it was somewhat predictable, in fact--yet it had far-reaching implications for our country.
If you are still deciding on your sign but have the equipment yo make one quickly once you have it figured out - allow mw to share that Liza Donnell, a cartoonist for The New Yorker (also a friend of both Anne Telnaes and Heather Cox Richardson) will allow you to use any of the cartoons at the following link on your sign if you follow these simple rules: Don't change anything, do include her signature, and only ise them for signs.
You'll have to click "No Thanks" nd close a popup, but you don't have to subscribe. Most of the drawings feature Metamucillini, but there are yeo with Lady Liberty at the end. Also, at the beginning, she provides links tp the pages of Anne Telnaes and Steve Broder, who are also offering drawings under the same rules.
They've been deliberately mangling the adjective for decades, probably since the Clinton years. It's a schoolyard bully taunt, and they know Democrats are too mature and too educated to start saying "Republic Party." I suppose it's liberating to be a mean-spirited idiot. Sure seems to work for them!
Regarding: "Oh no! Matching protest signs, like those the Trump campaign printed up to distribute at every rally?", and "You must ignore all the wonderfully goofy signs people make themselves, too."
The No Kings Protest I was at in June was all "goofy signs people make themselves". It was near Placerville, which is GOP-land, and not where I live because I had prior reservations at a wine event and figured I'd protest then drink. Still, happily, the positive reactions from passers-by outnumbered the negative.
This Saturday I'll protest where I live and can report on the signage, but I expect it'll be the "goofy signs people make themselves" as well.
Same at ALL the demonstrations I've been to. There might be one or two that are pre-printed, professional signs. But one of the things I love the most about these events is that they are 95% or more unique, personally crafted signs.
"Americans could never object to what he’s doing unless some sinister bad guy — usually George Soros, but often just “they” — led them astray."
Lucky for the Donald that most MAGAts are completely unwilling/unable to do the math that would make them realize that if all the people protesting Trump were actually doing so only because they were "paid actors", it would mean Soros has been paying out more cash than the PAB's total net worth, every year, for the past decade...
It has been almost fun to see the lower and middling courts issue blistering takedowns of what Trump and his fellow fascist ghouls are trying to do. (I'd still very much prefer our boring "more or less stable old republic" to the "interesting times" we're now suffering through.)
"Along similar lines, you must believe that millions of your fellow Americans actively hate their country, and put a lot of effort into perversely trying to thwart Donald Trump’s wise plans."
They have been doing this for most of the last century. Just google image search "liberal hunting license" and "conservative hunting license" and see which returns "funny joke" novelties that they sell at county fairs.
I beat that dead horse, but it really succinctly illustrates the point.
I thought Etsy was supposed to be run by a bunch of witches?

Ta, Dok. How many untrue things must the MAGAt believe this week? Same thing as every night, Pinky. AOT, K.
That George Soros still owes me for the last "No Kings" march.
I've been marching for 60 years, haven't seen a dime for my efforts.
I'm ready:

I love that first one!

Dude, Etsy is totally Antifa. I'm pretty sure Soros sewed my order himself.

I Believe that Sir can stand upright without using the podium like a walker.
I Believe that, given enough time, Sir can spell his own name.
I Believe that Sir can forget he's doing a poo and get up and walk back into a meeting like that.
I Believe that Sir remembers EVERYTHING.
I Believe that Sir will live to be 200 years old and then live even longer thanks to organ harvests.
I Believe that Sir believes his own bullshit.
we need to start calling the right pro-facist - because if you're not antifa, you're profa
Not just "Pro Facist" they are Nuevo-Facist.
The MAGA cosmology really is its own religion now—where George Soros is both Santa and Satan, and Kinko’s is his cathedral.
Every time they shout “antifa!” what they mean is “people who can read.”
If Trump’s flock believes matching signs prove a criminal conspiracy, wait till they discover uniforms. Or churches.
Blessed be the ones still capable of critical thought in a nation hooked on fan fiction.
Republicans must have their brains wired in such a way as to be physically incapable of saying the words "Democratic Party".

It goes back farther than the Clintons. I've read accounts of it being used in the 40s. *0 years is a long time to revel in a dick move.
Up to it in the 40s? That IS impressive! (Not in a good way, but impressive.)
IIRC it was some candidate's TV ad that had the "rat" at the end of Democrat emphasized.
You must believe that Fox news only tells the truth 100% of the time.
10% of the time Fox News tells the truth 100% of the time.

And they're always the best IMHO!

I’m sure Pam Bondi will get to the root of Antifa, just as soon as she finishes going through the Epstein files.
She always gets fucked up by the courts, which still insist on actual evidence and not just vibes to win cases.
