I have lupus .I've taken both these drugs, And while they helped with some milder symptoms and helped to prevent flares ,it was causing retinal damage which sooner or later would have resulted in blindness.Not everyone has this side effect. But lupus sufferers do take it with good results and they do not need people self prescribing and causing a shortage in the supply.
I have taken hydroxychloriquine for connective tissue disease for more than a decade now. It's the only thing that helped the crippling fatigue I developed in my thirtys and had also prevented damage to my vital organs. I also get my eyes checked every year for retinal damage. It is much safer than it's earlier version, chloroquine. Now I'm worried that Trump flapping his yap will cause a shortage. It's beyond insane that people have died as a result of his recklessness.

He’s a sociopath and now people will die because he wants to win an election and earn the praise of all those people who span the seven deadly sins and make up his rich donors and base.
And while I’m ranting, we’ve got so used to seeing an entire news channel devoted to propagandizing and gaslighting for this sick charlatan, but today it felt more obscene than ever. He lied, he made shit up, he didn’t give a toss about the deaths, even lying that the ‘cure’ would cause more deaths, and they just let him gob off unchecked.
Never before have I felt, even for a nano second, like the US was more like North Korea than my own country (UK) but I did today. I’m sending you all my best wishes that somehow, despite him, you stay safe.

Several states have put a break on new prescriptions. Sometimes requiring a positive covid test, sometimes leaving it to pharmacist judgement.
He must know, they must know that 65% of us know he is full of shit.
