When force to take out the trash we grumbled and bitched We sulked we didn't do our homework any more than we could help and we almost never displayed a joyful countenance, My brother used some dope we did not molest small children. We grew up to be responsible adults my brother is a doctor specializing in caring for the aged and I run a business.
Make the kids do the chores and let them sulk, at least it is an honest emotion.
