Just asking the question alerts the audience to the issue. Sure, the answer will be bullshit, but that only drives home that they do not have an answer to it.

You cannot get ahead with that, and in retrospect I see that it looked like I was cornered in a way, and trying to talk myself out of things (well--not ME, but like I was nitpicking). Meanwhile, she got to come across as confident (as idiots are), breezy, and never having to say, "actually..."
Twitter's algorithm would have done a better job moderating this debate than two alleged human beings. It can formulate questions at least as well, and it would also append any responses with a Community Notes fact check.
