Mel is investing in herself. She knows that she might need a husband somewhat along the road so she’s putting in the maintenance now.

I thought he was a political satirist, what with his ridiculous, taken out of context, spew. Like Colbert's character. Then I found out he was not!

The interview she did with GQ before the election, really pissed her off, because it revealed how vapid and boring she was, also she has a half brother by some former lover of her father's that he never acknowledged. Perhaps that is why she never did another?

I always thought it was an Oscar Wilde quote, because all my favorite quotes are either his, or Voltaire's.

I was just a kid, but I'm pretty sure GWB and his wife got better press coverage about their relationship than the Trumps. But then again, it's always about how everyone in the MSM is out to hurt Trump for not being part of the system or something or other.

Ever notice that boomer humor about hating your spouse overlaps a lot in the conservative circles?

"Member when they showed up at the White House 1/20/17? Asshole bounds out of the car and up the stairs, leaving Melania behind, and Barack, ever the gentleman, goes down to escort her up.

Yes I do!* I know I'm in the minority when I feel sorry for Melania, but when I think of Trump getting with Stormy Daniels right after Melania gave birth to Baron, I can't help but feel some sympathy.

*Obama is classy like that.

Many years ago I heard on a TV documentary the quotation "If God is omnipotent, he is not benevolent. If God is benevolent, he is not omnipotent" and they attributed it to Voltaire. This was incorrect - it is a paraphrase of something said by Epicurus, and Voltaire merely wrote his thoughts about it at some length. But I like to repeat this quote to people, and I attribute it to Voltaire, because nobody I know has ever heard of Epicurus - they think it's the name of a restaurant - but most people have heard of Voltaire, and although they don't actually know who he was, his name impresses them, LOL.
