When this regime finally is driven out of power the first major public object should be to collar every last ICEhole at a rate of 2,000 a day and literally throw them into cells in their own concentration camps and if any of them resist arrest, that will be just too bad for them. Seeing to their comforts should be very low in the list of priorities, and if they should be lostvtrack of, lost in the system, well shit happens, you know? Their identities will be meticulously recorded, though if records of their detention get a little muddled, too bad. None of those scum will ever be eligible for any kind of pension, nor for Social Security or any other kind of public assistance let alone public employment They shall be treated exactly as sex offenders are now, their whereabouts constantly monitored and restricted, they are to be treated publicly with disgust, distrust and obloquy. Every effort will be made to identify and prosecute every murderer, every brute, every one who assaulted peaceable, unoffending people under color of law, so that they be made examples of. I suggest exposure in the stocks for not less than 12 consequtive hours for each identified member of the Brute Squad and anyone who wants to throw anything at all at them will be free to do so. If some don't survive the procedure we can rest assured nothing of value will be lost

Like King and Collins, I'm sure people in positions of power were "concerned" in Nazi Germany, too.

Miss us all with your fucking concerns, Senators, and fucking stop this, or else resign, retire, or walk into the sea, so that the rest of us can pull this country out of the current trajectory, you useless fucking jackholes.

The exact same people who are having shit fits because we're not treating Mitch and Lyndsey with the level of respect they think they deserve are laugh reacting stories about this.

This is turning bloodier than I expected, and what I expected made me annoyed and angry with red-pilled Latinos for Trump family members who kept telling me that he was only going after the criminals. HE SAID IT…REPEATEDLY THAT ALL THE UNDOCUMENTED WERE CRIMINALS! He started his presidential run saying Mexican immigrants were for the most part murderers, rapists, and drug dealers with, he assumed, some good people sprinkled in there. DID YOU FUCKS NOT SEE THAT?

Regret's avatar

What they meant was "being undocumented makes them criminals", and he used what is called a "Motte And Bailey" argument, where any attack on the "They are being targetted because they're evil criminals" Bailey leads to a retreat into the "being undocumented makes them criminals" Motte.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

They did not in fact wish to see that, thinking they were "the good ones" and missing the message that Steve Miller and his ilk do not think ANY non-white people are the good ones.

Murdered for the crime of being Hispanic.

Remember, Kirby the frame, don't counter within the frame...

It's not that they aren't finding the "worst of the worst." It's that they are trying to explain away racism-driven purges in service of white supremacy.

> "He added that Americans need to ask why ICE is even in Maine in the first place."

Mostly to catch folks slipping over the Canadian border to work the maple tapping season

Senator Susan Collins said she is “very concerned,” and will be looking into this matter.

The ICC might as well issue arrest warrants for Trump, Hegseth, Mullin, Rubio and all the rest of them. WTF do they have to lose at this point?

Nicole Koretsky's avatar

Wish they would; maybe it's on the table, which would explain Rubio's attempts to discredit ICC.

Regret's avatar

Their email accounts, anything stored or using any computer related product or cloud server made or controlled by USA companies. The ICC already was targetted like that, a lot of essential data was lost when Trump ordered google to close their accounts. Or was it microsoft? Doesn't matter, Trump will do it again. This is one important reason why the EU is working on a EU tech stack - Our data will not be safe until we remove every trace of a reliance on USA companies.

ICE is a weaponized vehicle.

Shut. It. Down.

But more severe actions are taken against "weaponized vehicles"

Only 2+ years of fascists running wild. There won't be a single decent thing remaining when the mouth-breathing troglodytes are finished.

I weep for that three-year-old witness to her father's murder, clad in her Bluey pajamas. Christ, what a country we are.

Thixotropickle's avatar

The murders will continue until the only ways to stop them will disappear.

If I'm being followed by masked guys in an unmarked SUV, no way in hell am I stopping. I'd floor it whilst asking the GPS for the nearest police station or a very crowded area.

Mexfiles's avatar

And maybe Colombia's foreign ministry could join with Mexico's, which is pushing for criminal charges against ICE for its 17 nationals killed by ICE, or under "mysterious circumstances" in ICE rent-a-prisons. Then again, with Colombia's new right-wing prez, Mexico will probably have to go it alone.

This administration has made me a worse person as I harbor such hatred for these unaccountable goons and the reprobate Nazi fucks who have been given free rein to unleash their worst impulses on helpless people. This is who we are because too many of us voted for this when they voted for that piece of shit for a 2nd or 3rd time. After a million dying on his incompetent, grievance-inflected watch during COVID. And the baby jails were the first term too. We share this rapidly decaying country with people who voted for this. Not only is that hard to live with, innocents are fucking dying because of it. I wonder if there’s any coming back from this absolute fucking nightmare.

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

You speak my mind, and I am sure many others'. I just don't wish to be here anymore.

Manic Pixel Dream Girl's avatar

It’s all deeply traumatizing and destabilizing. My forebears didn’t escape pogroms for this shit to just happen here.

the new ice shooter managed to put some bullet holes into the windshield. doesn't mean he was in front of the car, but i worry about them staging the scene better in the future.

I Stedman's avatar

An interesting question might be "when" did they put those holes there? Before or after the driver was yeeted from the automobile.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

Or from what angle. Because through the driver's side window and OUT the windshield is still a bullet hole in the windshield.

CzechJournalists's avatar

i think they shot from the front, although i do think they would try to stage the scene if they weren’t being recorded.

Bangor Daily News has a lot of video. it’s pretty graphic though.

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

Well move out of the goddam way if you're afwaid of the mean Watino man. I mean shit, how many murders by pedestrians in crosswalks we'd be having if we all harbored the fear of an ICE agent. "Shoot what scares ya": ICE directive.

Manic Pixel Dream Girl's avatar

Probably incidental on their part.

CzechJournalists's avatar

seems slightly less blatant than executing Renée Good from behind as the vehicle is driving away.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

Or shooting Pretti in the back while he was on the ground and under control.

InMyRoom's avatar

And with people who are too lazy or uninterested to vote at all. This is on their doorstep as well.

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

The goddam protest voters are also worthy of our extreme ire. "Why should I vote for someone I don't like just because they're not a Republican. How's that working out, Palestinian caucus?

I learned a while ago that I can harbour murder in my heart. I now consider myself more well-rounded. It doesn't appall me, it just makes me human.

I do suspect hatred for the hateful is actually a mark of good character, TBH.
