We've been waking to a monstrous vermin in the president's bed for 3 years now.

And David Brooks says we shouldn't hate these people. Jesus Christ on a bicycle with the seat missing, we have every right to hate these fucking people.

I've been thinking about this the last few days. These contractors aren't entirely staffed by comically evil people. Most of these HHS contracts for services were signed when they were getting actual unaccompanied minors, not kids ripped from their parents by ICE.

What the hell do you do, if you're a decent person working for BCFS services? Quit? Stay and try to protect the kids as best you can?

I've been trying to imagine what I would do, and I'm honestly stumped.

And maybe some sex trafficking and organ harvesting.

Also.. Building factories isn't the sort of activity you plan and cancel in a day. There's a lot of momentum. You won't see fast cancelations until a recession is already started.

IOW, be sure to some money handy, cuz the asset fire sale's a coming 😮

Many years ago a wonketeer made a comment which has stuck with me. It described in detail a situation whereby some miscreant's brain climbed out of his ass, climbed his back and proceeded to fuck him in the eye socket vigorously. Like a fucking horny chihuahua.

The trafficking is a virtual certainty (I do believe).

I am wondering the same thing. As a human being, could I punch out at the end of my shift, knowing what I know, knowing that children are scared and hungry? If these contractors are something other than comically evil (not really comic at all), what are they?

I empathize. But I also think that there appears to be a contradiction between what could be good people doing a job as best they can under shitty rules and lack of resources offered (and probably a non-disclosure or silence policy), and those who are brave enough to risk their jobs, and their singular chances to hands on help the kids, by reporting the reality to those who could change it for ALL the kids. I’ve worked in jobs where kids are held in institutions and housing. Some people have genuine intent on helping, and they have a skill not everyone else does. But there are a great many who live in their mental bubbles and treat every instance as though they are working in a jail. I don’t trust ICE or any private facility with no oversight to staff with the good type of people, as a majority.
