Trump always claimed that terrorists were/would be/could be entering the US from the Mexican border. I think he's creating them, because I swear to God I'd lose my mind if someone took my kid away from me. I don't know what I'd be capable of. . .

I don't think you can hide the Crazy Horse statue, unfinished though it is. That thing is huge! And that "American tourist"? asshat ... I don't understand what you were trying to say, here. What I was saying, while unsuccessfully searching for the video, was that the tourists from, I don't remember because couldn't find video, but maybe they were Paiutes or something? maybe Blackfoot? got yelled at by some moron to bo back where they came from. Moron was white as the sheet that he had packed up in his car, allegedly.Anyway, that's why I wanted the video, to get my facts right, couldn't find it though because too many asshat videos and it was a couple or three years ago.

My in-law's family helped building the Crazy Horse statue (hint - it's still in the works cuz racism) near Mt. Rushmore (that is what you're thinking of). And the "American tourist"? asshat conservative blogger did that.

Get your facts right, okay?

PS: A standard condition of probation (and the would be burglar was on two separate felony probations) is that the defendant obey all laws. Prosecutors had the discretion to seek up to 5-years in state prison on each probation alone. And as a criminal defense lawyer for 35 years, including representation of defendant's charged with residential armed robbery, I know that duct-tape is used to subdue victims and knifes are used to subdue, menace and cut non-compliant victims. You are a very tolerant person indeed if you want this guy in your neighborhood. And no, I don't think he was after our stereo. I think he wanted to "party" with a bit of recreational rape. At least the high risk of harm to me and my wife was there, with nothing between an adjudicated residential burglar high on meth, armed with a knife and duct-tape than a class paned set of French doors separating my 6th floor balcony from my kitchen.

1. Regarding the attempted break-in to my penthouse condo at 795 Sutter Street, San Francisco, the man (who was on two separate felony burglary probations) scaled an 8' wall with a rope to gain access to a side yard, then climbed up my fire-escape to the 6th Floor where the French Doors to my kitchen were located. An alert neighbor in a high rise apartment across the street saw the man trying to break in and called police. I was awaked by a knock on my door in the middle of the night, saw a badge through the peephole. The office told me that there was a man on my balcony and that the entire building was surrounded by police. I escorted the office to my dining room, condo lights off, where we could see the man crouched by the kitchen doors. When he noticed a police officer, he threatened to jump. An SFPD negotiator was brought in. An entire engine company of SF fireman was standing by in my hallway until the man was finally pulled through the window of a lower apartment then arrested after sun up. What I am saying about his light sentence was hardly unusual, if you know anything about San Francisco.

2. Regarding Harris' refusal to seek the death penalty for a cop killer by a gang member see this 2004 article in the NYT https://www.nytimes.com/200... . Also see this 2010 article in the LA Times mentioning this political baggage. http://articles.latimes.com...

3. Regarding Kamala Harris having the lowest felony conviction rate of any county DA in California at the time, see here: http://www.sfweekly.com/new...

Also here: http://www.sfweekly.com/new...You may not see these things as problems for Kamala in a 2020 presidential run (according to Wonkette standards) but they are facts. And what would I have to gain by coming here and spinning some false (but all too typical) yard about a felon getting arrested on my balcony and Kamala sending him back into my neighborhood 30 days later? There is nothing "implausible" about my account. Apparently your liberal philosophy overrides your ability to listen objectively.I am a retired Californian trial lawyer, and lived in SF from undergrad, then law school, through my early retirement in 2013. I am currently an ex-pat dividing my time between Crete, Greece and Cabo, MX.

Except that is not what I said, is it? The question I was addressing is whether Kamala needs to be lectured about crime. And, forgive me Nick if I believe that Wonkette might not exactly have its finger on the pulse of the national electorate. Of course me pointing out that Kamala had the worst record of convictions than any of 50 District attorneys in CA when she was DA is not going to hurt her standing here. However, I do think you are conflating incompetence with philosophical choice. Carry on.

You realize saying that "Kamala Harris doesn't support needlessly putting people in cages or murdering them" isn't exactly the sort of statement that is going to diminish her standing around here?
