Was also dismayed to see how easy it was to access my information with the county given that we know there are electoral frauds by Nazis and russians to upset things. All I needed to access my voter info was name and date of birth and last four of SSN. With all the data breaches in the last couple years it is estimated that every person in America is now compromised as to that data. With that someone LIKE the GRU could change all my info like address at the last moment so when I show up to vote they say you can't vote here. Readers of this post already have a chunk of that information, last four is not very hard to figure out, there are only 10,000 possibilities, which would be a pain in YOUR ass but not a computer's ass, it would take way less than one second to try them all. So, address is all they need, and judging by the amount of junk mail I get a lot of people I never gave that to seem to know what that is.
They also attempted to change the blue counties like Buncombe from district voting to at large so that if you have say 10 board seats and 30 people vying for them the ten with the most votes would be the board. They did this because 9 of the ten districts had majority democrat voters and the GOP just could not win. They assumed that because republicans made up some 38-42% of the voters with a good turn out they could get three or four seats and that would be enough to toss sand in the gears of county governments.
But, in NC there simply is no end to the blatant illegal and just plain dirty things the GOP will do. Like when their huge joke of a governor lost to a democrat the GOP legislature stripped the governor's office of almost all it's authority so the democrat would be essentially a figurehead with the legislature taking over government.
The GOP is evil everywhere, but the NC republicans are a special sort of Nazi.
