It's not like he was eating the baboon meat, too. I can respect hunters who use every part of the animal they kill, to honor the animal's sacrifice. This killing just for the fuck of it is sick. His grin in the picture with the baboon family -- that's the most gruesome part of that scene.
"....so let's not have a replay of the bloodthirsty "Let's kill and stuff HUNTERS" shit...."
I hope it's ok that I remind everyone to think of all those Far Side cartoons with the hunters getting hunted. Use y'all's mind's eye, you'll see 'em clear as day.
When I first heard an Idaho guy fatally shot a family of baboons, I knew I needed more info. Like who, where? Was the he headline literal or figurative? Was he just standing his ground?
My dad was the youngest of eight, and his dad died when my dad was twelve. They were a poor family in Mississippi, and he and his brothers hunted and fished in order to eat. He hunted and fished when I was growing up too, but we ate whatever he shot or caught.
He got to go on a photo safari as well. It was during the great wildebeest migration, so all the predators were out. He said it was magnificent. I will probably never have the chance to witness these beasties in the wild either, and I've even sworn off zoos (though I get your point, and yes, zoos are crucial in preserving these beasties). I've come to believe that wild animals are truly meant to be wild, and if that means I'll never see them in person, I'm willing to accept that just to have them remain that way. I content myself with nature shows on PBS.
I volunteer(ed) at a movie theater that still replaces the marquee letters by hand. I told them they should just hire a giraffe for that.
They drive the shithead to where the hippo is, and he shoots it. Probably doesn't even get out of the Jeep Land Rover.
"Butch" Otter?Jeez Idaho, why dont you elect all of Delta house to be governor.
Coincidentally, "Butch Otter" is my new drag king name. (It's even better when you know this.)

Someone posted it here...not some random interwebs thingie. It was both horrifying and pathetic.
Elk is delicious. If you eat what you kill I have no issues with it.
produce.
Oh my goodness, no, I try to avoid videos. I like transcripts better, but yes that sounds about right.

There are people who raise bison, including a Native American tribe who are located near me. The meat is lower in fat than beef and tastes delicious.

With votes.
