Regular Idaho or their own private one?

A "disfavored...constitutional right"?? What, like a 2nd amendment solution? The screeching would never end.

Is the GQP going to mandate revisions to the Bible to eliminate the positive depictions of incest, polygamy, fornication at the direction of YHWH, fornication/rape by YHWH, or the many other explicit depictions of sex outside of wedlock?

I imagine that insertion is probably more painful than extraction, but it still doesn’t deter them from behaving like anally fixated ostriches.

If you live long enough, you become more and more personally affected by the terrible things conservatives do. One year ago at this time I was a father of one toddler son, and hadn’t been touched by abortion personally. Now, I have. In June last year, we found out my wife was pregnant with what we expected to be our second child. By October, we’d been notified that our unborn daughter had a defective heart valve, only one functioning kidney, and as if that wasn’t enough (we were prepared to try to give her medical care, including open heart surgery after birth, at that point), we then found out she had chromosome abnormalities that correlate with brain and cranial development deficits. Under our state laws, we had just 3 days to do the only merciful thing we knew to do. It was horrifying, and it was traumatizing. My wife may never fully get over it. And republicans would force that birth. They would force that nightmare to play out. They wouldn’t spend a single moment assuming responsibility for such a tragedy, yet they don’t carve out exceptions for anything like this. People must have access to safe healthcare if they decide not to bring an unborn fetus to term.

I'm sorry your family had to go through this heart-wrenching experience. I hope your wife finds healing and peace.

It's the TFG model. He forced people to lie for him to prove their loyalty.

Which is exactly what happened everywhere before abortion was legalised. Women died in horrifying circumstances. But then the right wing bunch don't actually care about women or about the foetus. It's all about power and control. The evil involved in sacrificing lives for power beggars belief. In most other democracies, abortion isn't even a political issue. Its legal and that's it. There is some tinkering around the law around viability but it doesn't determine voting preferences. Even in the Catholic community in the UK this is the case in my experience.Although if you really want to limit abortion, comprehensive sex education and free comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including contraception is the only thing that does that. My Catholic secondary school was full of pregnant teenagers who had never even been told about contraception let alone used it.

They give less than a damn about the physical and mental health of women, and don't even think about taxing them to benefit living, breathing children. They are adamantly opposed to the two things that have been demonstrated to reduce the demand for abortion, comprehensive sex education and easy access to contraception. Those things, they claim would lead to promiscuity. No one who would compel a thirteen year old rape victim to carry a pregnancy to term is pro-life.

I think that there should be a "fairness doctrine" of anti-gun bills to go with the anti-abortion ones. Brain fog doesn't allow me to continue this topic, but I'd love to hear suggestions! Excepting the "it'll never happen" suggestions... I already know that!

I was just positing a series of novels in my head... horrible things, bible-based. I have to wonder if they'd be condemned or embraced by the hypochristians.

"Anally fixated ostriches." My new favorite phrase!

I have a staunch Catholic friend here in the UK. Her husband signed the paperwork for a 13 year old to have a termination because he's a doctor and a decent human. He found no conflict between his faith and his duty to a patient - which is how it should be. He said to force a child to carry the pregnancy would have been unthinkable. Funny how those things that they claim lead to promiscuity are the only things that reduce abortions. Christian conservatives two words that don't belong together....

When your entire world revolves around myth, you should keep your expectations low for such people.
