I am about to start teaching an online religion course, for the 3rd time. I know from experience that, after 5 months of the course, there will still be students (mainly the fundies) who will still do this.
So much butthurt, so very, very much. I'd weep, but in another life, another time, I studied the 19th and 20th century history of Central and Eastern Europe. Not from war movies or comic books (I assume that is where Sen Nuxoll and others learned about this time) , but , you know, texts, memoirs, diplomatic dispatches. And the films, newsreels and photographs of the time, those b&w images. For these buffoons to imagine they are living through that is ... in charity, I will only suggest they are just ignorant and not stupid. Well, stupid too.
These comparisons to the holocaust and Hitler are getting old and stale. There needs to be new all-time human societal low for the wingsnutz to use for comparison to people and events they hate. Seems like something like Palin having a bad hair day might work.
