I can understand their concern, as a book written by a white woman with a white female narrator/protagonist, To Kill a Mockingbird is just dripping with anti-white propaganda.

Okay.

Attention all Italians, Greeks, Poles, Hungarians and Slavs: race is a social construct.

Hmmm...I think my employer has a presence there. Or maybe it's Roanoke. I'm trying to transfer somewhere where my employer is so I don't have to worry about a job.

However...I think I'm officially listed as a fugitive in VA. I kid you not. It's from unpaid tickets from when I lived in VA Beach over 20 years ago.

So...a substitute teacher lost her shit because books by non-white authors were being taught, or at least available, at a school?

I can see why she might have a tough time getting a permanent job.

"because if you suggest that such a thing as systemic racism exists, then children won't love America anymore."

I'm no longer a child (in most respects) and America denying racism exists makes me love it a little less each day. If I live long enough I will end up despising this country, because America will NEVER get rid of its rampant racism, not at the pace it is going now.
