"“Trump is f---ing pissed that Charlie is out causing problems for him in the Black community,” said another person close to Trump who claimed direct knowledge of his thinking."

Really? And he's not fucking pissed about the problems HE's causing for him in the Black community?

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

So, if it's a grift, I assume Charlie's kicking back 10% to Trump for the vig?

What does Kari Lake do for a living? I mean, losing one whole political race does not bring in a paycheck, exactly. And there's no way spending all your time at Mar-a-Lago comes free either. Who keeps this woman in hideous pantsuits and why?

Sko Hayes's avatar

She's been grifting off "election fraud" since 2020. she does a lot of speaking events because she's very good in front of a crowd and easy on the eyes and says all the things MAGA likes.

She's trying to mend fences with the McCain Republicans in Arizona to get more support for her Senate run, but it's not going well.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

If the McCain Republicans mend fences with her, they're going to get what they deserve.

meh's avatar

She was a popular TV personality; that tends to pay well.

And I'm sure she did some grifting during her time trying to not lose elections.

She was a local TV news anchor in Phoenix.

It’s a bit absurd that a misfit wingnut like Kirk would be paid millions to share his ugly opinions. But that’s American “conservatism” in 2024. No doubt many unpopular teens are inspired to wear a diaper and shout conspiracy theories to get rich. I wouldn’t personally accept $10 million to have 60% of America dislike me, while looking like the winner of the Weirdest Mr. Potato Head Contest.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

I thought it was clever of him to get paid, to indulge in his personal diaper fetish, (why else would you even suggest it?) Kent state gun girl (whatever her name was) was so humiliated over participating that she quit the org and hasn't been heard from since.

Whatever happened to that Fallkirk center for rightwing propaganda at Liberty Diploma Mill? Did that shut down after Jerry Jr was booted out?

OK, I really don't get why punks like this asshole and Matt Walsh, etc., make so much money spewing their idiotic shit. Do their loser idiot audiences pony up THAT much? Do they draw THAT many eyeballs?

Or is there some shithead billionaire somewhere who subsidizes all this?

Wingnut welfare is generous.

In other words, crazy senile old racists.

It makes me unreasonably happy that the kids of these dipshits won't get an inheritance bc mummy and daddy spent it all on red hats, gold sneakers, and political contributions to a grifting wannabe billionaire.

A pair of standard "content creator" revenue streams are passive income from autoplay video ads, and inflated view and click-through numbers that are presented to autonomous online advertisers. As mentioned in the above article, the data farming ops of these PACs are obvious but very profitable.

They are neo-feudalists and their actions in business and politics are begging for tax reform and antitrust legislation.

Why do they always fuck with the office supplies?

Romney's Bain Capital took my favorite office supply store, Office America, gutted it, and gave us Staples. Now I find that the office equipment and supply catalogue from like forever is nothing more than glossy shit paper because of whom it enriches.

The Junk Mail King--by the landfill-clogging metric ton. Never heard of that 'internetz' thing, apparently.

Bet somebody enterprising could make bank offering "Nazi-and-junk-mail-free" office/packing supplies.

Do well by doing good, and all that.

So many of these guys are so homely that you can almost see RWNJ and MAGA written in the capillaries on their foreheads.

Why do the RWNJ woman all go for mask-like second-Hollywood-wife faces? maybe the lack of visible RWNJ or MAGA under their skinis is what keeps them from making more money and keeps them less influential.

meh's avatar

The straight-blonde-hair-in-a-particular-cut, blue-eyed, vacant-stare look is a weird conforming thing. The Cut did a good article about it in 2017, noting that the specific look here is a proxy for whiteness, which MAGAts so love:

“MLK was awful,” Kirk said. “He's not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn't believe.”

He's been repeatedly calling Fani Willis "Big Fani", etc etc.

He's been saying blatantly racist things for a while, but in the general approach, like with the Navalny-vaccine lies, Trump offers some statement that he doesn't like Kirk but also gains from Kirk's appeals to the base so that there's enough deniability and Trump fans can claim both sides.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Was Trump afraid "Big Fani" was going to drive away all the blacks who didn't mind him referring to Letitia James as "Peekaboo"?
