The terrifying thing is that even now, a multitude of people in the U.S.A. would not get the satire of the above, would take it seriously, would believe Donald Trump is the greatest builder ever, simply because he said so - would believe he actually did build that promised big, impenetrable, beautiful wall right across the country's southern border, even though reality says his administration never did more than repair some miles of barrier that already existed.
Author Frank Yerby really got it right when he said he thought that irrationality is dangerous, perhaps THE most dangerous force loose in the world today.
He might find it a little tricky to paint "Lake America" gold, but that won't stop him from trying. It will be a mess and will kill every living thing around, but that will be Joe Biden's fault.
I hadn't thought about this idea of "If Donald Trump Rebuilds Anything, We Must Rename It For Him." concept but now that you've brought it up it dawns on me that there was once a similar scheme floated for the music industry. You are all familiar, I suppose, how Dolly Parton once wrote a song as a tribute to her long-time parner/boss Porter Wagoner and it was titled "I Will Always Love You." And Dolly released it and it did okay and Elvis or "Elvis' people" heard it and thought maybe it would be a good match for Elvis and Dolly was pretty honored that she'd caught the attention of the "King." But Elvis' manager and all-around weasel "Colonel" Tom Parker 'splained to Dolly that when the "King" deigns to record one of your songs that the very fact of Elvis recording your song lends so much value and credence to that song that one-half ownership of that song belongs to the "King" and/or Graceland Inc. or whatever for now and into perpetuity, amen. And Dolly thought about it and was torn (to tears, actually) but finally decided that the song that she wrote was hers and she wanted it to stay that way and she told The "Colonel" and the "King", thanks but no thanks. (Had I been involved the reply might have involved "pissing up a rope" but maybe that's just me and explains why I'm not nor ever will be a national treasure.) So, Dolly went on to other triumphs and the song was just sitting there when Hollywood came calling and arranged for it to be a centerpiece of the movie "The Bodyguard" and Whitney Houston's version went to #1 in like 34 countries and earned Dolly a bazillion bucks in royalties which she of course gave to one of her many charities and at this point I want you to take a minute trying to imagine the "Colonel" or "The King" or DJT or Howard Nutlick doing the same thing. (I know I've shared this tale before but in the wake of Dolly's death this week I've heard versions that just say that she "turned down Elvis' request" to record the song without mentioning the "give up 50% ownership" context.)
Wow! That was so smart of her to realize her work had value and not just give it away.
Also, too, thank you for the correct spelling of Howard's last name. The reporter had it correct when she alluded to him at one of the press question and answer sessions where the Freudian slip occurred, ( which we all know that everyone who is anyone, calls him behind his back or in front of him--makes no difference) , was chef's kiss for the masses!

What bothers me about the collective brain power in the GOP and the Project 2025 folks is that they COULD have done most of these renovations - Kennedy Center, Reflecting Pool, Arch de Trump, East Wing - in a way that got the people on their side.
