You may be familiar with the state of Kansas, where Governor Sam Brownback and the ruling GOP have conducted what Brownback has called a "great experiment" in conservative economics. They'veradically slashed income taxes, especially for top earners, on the theory that liberating this money will supercharge the economy; businesses will flock in, new jobs will be created, and an orgy of private sector commerce will fill the budget hole caused by the tax cuts.
Actually, this is about tanking the economy in the run up to the 2016 election, so that people will blame Democrats in the White House and vote for Tweedle Dum Dum.
Let's stop using the language that they hand us just overall. When did everyone decide that the rightwing think tanks get to dictate the language? ("right to work" anyone?) The MSM now always say "so-called right to work laws" but how about just calling them "anti-union" or "laws that weaken the ability of unions to function"
I don't think Republican management are even that aware, or care why employees quit, especially if its because of their incompetence in running a business or shitty policies. In fact, I think they like high turnover, just to avoid having any senior employees making anything over a minimum starting salary.
And statistically I could prove that Kansas is one of the worst performers compared to other states with six or less letters in their name.
The long and the short of it (if you pardon the pun) is: if your answer is to tax people's haircuts, then you have to go back and look at the question you were originally asking.
Forget tech, I wish I had some extra money to invest in an up-and-coming guillotine company. I think it's going to be doing quite well in the future.
Sorry, I think Blank Ron cornered the market downthread.

Precisely! My initial comment was the more long-winded version :)

Should it not have said "Gov Paul LePaige of Mane, wants to tax haircuts..."?
Yes, but closing the income gap having a positive effect does not fit the ideology, therefore for it CAN'T be true.
Well, yeah.
If only the guillotines were getting duller...
Or to Colorado Springs
