I'm waiting for him to ban antibiotics and order doctors to return to leeches and blood-letting. Shouldn't be too long now. I suspect leeches will be a growth investment. Get in early. You can probably raise them in your own home. Or send them to Congress--leeches will fit right in.

Trump has out done himself this time. In about three months he has managed to tank the US across the globe, make the civil service an absolute mess except for those hanging on for dear life to serve the public, attacked education, science , the rule of law, undone years of hard work to build trading and manufacturing partnerships, and still has not paid what he owes in fines and judgements for his personal crimes in business and as a sexual predator. The man is a crook, a criminal, a liar, cheat and a thief and a traitor. We had a chance at a decent nation once. Trump has killed off this nation in record time.
I am wondering whether we are, in fact, still the world's super power. Our former allies don't trust and are forming new affiliations. Our non-allies (except for Russian and Israel, two terrorist states) don't trust us either and are avoiding us like the plague--which is a real possibility with Kennedy in charge of our health.
I'm happy to see someone else mentioning Anthony Weiner and his place in helping Trump get elected in 2016. Without the continued misuse of the internet to prey on young girls James Comey would have had a problem finding an excuse just 11 days before the election, or actually wild assed speculation, that Weiner's wife's laptop contained incriminating emails that a months long FBI investigation failed to uncover. With of course the conclusion being there was nothing there. After the news media, still hot on the email trail after two years of headlines spouting innuendo and no facts, screaming "They finally got her." But with the announcement just two days before the election on a slow Sunday afternoon news day buried on page 8 of the newspapers in a single paragraph. Well after millions of early votes were already cast. Headlines should have read "Clinton vindicated, MAGA Republicans and James Comey are deplorable."
While Weiner's personal life is despicable, he had no intention of causing the problems he did. I blame the fallout on Repubs and anti-Clintonites.
As for Comey, for him to interfere so close to an election was unforgiveable, but not everything he did in his life was bad (I suspect he just really hated the Clintons and convinced himself that he needed to sabotage them.) He did sometime act very much for the good of the nation. Like most people, he's shades of gray.
If I need advice on using a bear carcass to set up a funny practical joke, or maybe some pointers on how to strap a severed whale's head to the top of a car, I will consider consulting RFK jr. He has experience in these areas.
For anything else, I will consult a more reliable source of information: a Quija board, perhaps, or maybe a magic 8-ball.

No one should be eating a lot of the ultraprocessed "fud" we consume in North America, but what's the point of telling kids to eat carrots if you take away the means their families can afford to buy carrots because your boss wants his fucking tax cut?
Especially when you consider that families without much money tend to live in areas with few stores and high prices. That is one reason I defend Amazon (the company, not Bezos--he's awful.) Amazon does not treat its employees as well as it should, but that's true of large corporations across the board. During the COVID pandemic the meat-packing companies were probably the worst.
And Amazon treats its customers really well. If you work in a rigid job, with few shopping choices and high prices, Amazon is great. The offer lots of variety, mostly good prices, helpful reviews, liberal return policies, etc. The biggest problem is likely securing safe delivery.
As for boycotting Amazon, Target, et. al., if the companies suffer it will be the employees who suffer not the rich bosses. In other words, the same employees whose treatment inspires boycotts are the ones who lose out if a boycott is successful.
