Where was Trump naked with Husted? Epstein Island perhaps?

Pub Option's avatar

He's going to Corinth for the locals to dress and polish his face.

Counterpoint: republicans understand that Trump is now genuinely toxic in competitive places, so they've convinced him there are places only he can save, so that his ass assessment and dementia symptom roadshow will only play in places that are pretty safe.

they're desperate. why tf else would trump be in mississippi?

i'm still skeptical tho.

They send him to deep red areas because that's the only way he can fill a high school ggym.

Husted's Ass

Nor will I since I also know what it is

We have certain things in common, Lovely

Husted's Ass

Yes we do come to think of it

The logic is impeccable.

Does the lightbulb ever go on? For decades, the wingnut segment of the GOP has been salivating over what they could do if they ever got their hands on all three branches of the federal government. They finally got there and now find themselves as popular as syphilis. Does it ever occur to them that it is because their agenda is shit?

Edith Prickly's avatar

They know it's shit, that's why they developed this whole strategy around voter suppression and court packing, and why they hitched the whole party to the dementia patient.

But now that his popularity is at an all-time low, it's all blowing up on them. FAFO time.

Funny that they're using Alamo allusions.

That's a great ad (the Rapper's Delight bass tab is always...a delight). "Pick another protein" is just a 21st-century version of "Let them eat cake." Hopefully, voters will pick another senator.

Lance Thrustwell's avatar

I got a protein they can pick *right here.*

Generation Vax's avatar

Is it related to your screen name?

The RiffTrax crew is giving Carnival of Souls (in color) the appropriate treatment.

Richard S's avatar

A really good movie on it's own, even in B&W.

tehbaddr's avatar

It's weird seeing it in color.

I've said this before, but does anyone else find the 'campaign spending' issue, and 'money in politics' issue fundamentally depressing? Campaign spending shouldn't make a big difference *anywhere.* Why should it make a difference if you see *one* ad for a Republican candidate, or a *thousand*, when this is the party that explicitly supports a fascistic, corrupt, incompetent Executive branch that is eroding civil rights , destroying the environment, and threatening the international stability of America, Europe and the free world?

The depressing-as-fuck answer is that it does matter, because huge swaths of the electorate are permanently, terminally uninformed and gullible. They will respond to political ads like goldfish.

I have come to feel nothing but contempt for many of my fellow citizens.

I assume there are Republicans who are considering voting for a Democrat in their own self interest and perhaps because the depredations of the current administration (for example, against legal immigrants and neighbors on Medicaid) have finally become too shocking to ignore, but… who find the thought of voting for a Democrat distasteful, and who would welcome an ad giving them an excuse not to do it. “Amy Acton lied about living in a tent? Huh. Can’t vote for her, then.”

Morning Evan, as always, your columns brighten our day. Isn’t it ironic how Donald J Trump has brought gay liberation to the GOP, years after the Log Cabin Republicans tried and failed? All those years at Studio 54, when DJT was trying to prove by being a Don Juan (quoting Painless in MASH: “It’s a sign of latent homosexuality”), when actually he belonged on the barricades at Stonewall? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The Christian evangelicals will never be the same!

Hooker P Tape's Epstein files's avatar

He even has a gay cabinet member.

I'd hate to see that angry.

Trump does love the "enduring LGBTQ+ anthem" (thanks, Google AI), "YMCA." However, I think Trump is merely bi-curious or man-jealous. It's so much easier to rape and abuse little girls.

Sir needs to ratchet up his rally schedule to three a day - morning, noon and night - until election day. Then when most of them lose, throw a blood clot.

T L Mills's avatar

Do we all--in our innermost being--wish for and hope that will happen? Or am I a bound-for-hell outlier?

Notorious J.I.M.'s avatar

I doubt you're an outlier. There can be some subtlety to navigating the noncommenting rules, sufficient to avoid the banhammer.
