I think that diet supplement fraud is still possible. You might have a few politicians shout at you, but nothing more.

Gotta give the GOP points: your average Blago type kleptocrat just steals the money and when he gets caught just smirks and goes to jail. But for the GOP, graft, corruption, vote suppression, extortion--these are all fundamental forms of free speech.

Either that, or they have a bizarrely warped idea of what the 1st Amendment actually says. But nah, no one is <i>that</i> delusional.

Interesting legal theory there. So when the police arrest a mob enforcer for trying to shake down a store owner for "protection money", are they violating his First Amendment rights too?

I can explain the PACs run by Duh Gov', Allen West, Lloyd Marcus and the rest of their ilk.

The money flows in from the rubes and gulls. Most of it is spent keeping the PACs running (raising more money), supporting their public lifestyles, and then token contributions are made to a few candidates. Often either obvious winners or losers.
