So here is a frivolous lawsuit , one that shows just how litigious our society has become and why we need TORT REFORM!!! Rodney Cotton was in jail at the Manhattan Detention Complex in New York, and due to an antidepressant he was taking, Risperdal, he got a boner FOR SIX DAYS. According to his lawsuit, two separate jail doctors decided the best way to treat his priapism (a known side effect of the drugs) was to give him Tylenol and ice packs, which is, science fact, NOT how you treat such a condition. On the fourth day, he finally was taken to Bellevue Hospital for surgery, but it was too late. Cotton's dick does not work anymore.
Most health insurance plans (i.e., Obamacare) have prescription drug coverage. It is unlikely that a person with insurance would pay anywhere near that much for the drug.
Before the ACA went into effect (and I got insurance for the first time in years) I obtained medications through an online pharmacy that provided standard generics (and some brand name drugs) at very good prices. It was the only way I could have afforded them.
as a physician, I am aware of that, but some patients have a medication deductible near $200 (I do, being self-employed) A patient with chronic mental illness is probably going to be on public assistance so they won't be paying that much if they have it.
Some of these people, the doctors and the management, need to be placed in the care of the facilities they have been defrauding. At some point it has to rise to criminal negligence. That point is apparently just to the left of and slightly behind the Horologium Supercluster, but I can hope.
I've yet to hear of a government-function privatization scheme that didn't guarantee a profit to the contractors. Guaranteed profit is Free Enterprise how? Privatization is ALWAYS an indicator of corruption, Always.
Dr. Landis Barnes holds a grudge against anyone related to Tom Cotton. If Cotton's overly exuberant anatomy had been caught in an electric door, Landis would have responded, "be glad it didn't get caught in the electric chair, you scofflaw condom tax evader!"
That's what Conservatives are talking about when they talk about wanting things to go back to the way they were in the 50s. Yeah, when marginalized people were invisible if you didn't have to see them in your daily life.
I foresee NY state Republicans proposing legislation creating Iranian Penis Panels, "The Not Going Soft On Penal Colony (sodden rimshot) Offenders Act of 2015"
is that a rhetorical question?
Risperdal (risperidone) has been on the market for the past 21 years. It is available as a generic.

Peenpillon?
If that 4-hour rule was a thing I would have been in the ER from age 9 through 36.
What the hell kind of a NYC jail is this where the guards couldn't send out for some hookers?

Fapillon.
Also, too: The Peen Mile

Those pills really work! I'd better check my email.

OK, DB. Gotta pace yourself. You're a valuable member of the team. We'll need you when the latest episode of the Duggar saga goes public.
