And throw it in the face of any MAGA you encounter talking about "illegals" or "criminals". I suppose it's not surprise to most of us, but they so often claim they're not being bigoted, they just hate "criminals". Telling them that violating immigration law is not a criminal violation, but a civil one, so calling them "criminal" for this is just bullshit.
Of course, these assholes will never accept the fact that their entire stance about immigration is based more on their fear and hatred of the "other", and continue to insist that they are just "law-abiding".

Mrs Mild and I decided to wait until we could max our out our Social Security; we both turn 70 next month. We went online and applied last month for our “benefits” (they’re not benefits, that’s money owed us after 50+ years of paying into FICA).

I just wanted to mention when It: Welcome to Derry showed up I missed the "It:" part of the title and immediately thought "there's a new Derry Girls show?" I was disappointed.
Taking a four day weekend; other than checking in here occasionally my plans mostly involve Resident Evil: Requiem and getting hammered at an appropriate hour. Think I’ll start today with a couple bowls of cereal and a nice big cup of coffee.
It would be one thing if the applications for insurance could reliably let you confirm which providers are going to be on their plan in the coming year, but it seems like providers are also often hustling at the end of the year to decide which insurance plans they will contract with.
I’ve called into providers during open enrollment many times to confirm the partner listings and been told, “we won’t know if we’re accepting that plan until the end of December.”
I'm really upset about this, guys. First of all, I'm trying to recover from a dentist phobia. I like this dentist, I like the hygienist, we have a good relationship and they take good care of my teeth and they don't hurt me. But second of all, there aren't an absolute ton of dentists around here, even fewer who are accepting new patients, and I don't know how many will even take my insurance? My girlfriend just tried to make an appointment with a new DDS (she's on medicare), for a cleaning, and the soonest date they could give her is next January. I'm paying a fairly large amount of money for dental insurance, can I cancel it if it is absolutely worthless, or do I have to wait until next November/open enrollment? This fucking sucks.
