It’s either faith in the process or faith in Pelosi. Pick your poison.

What exactly do we lose? We can’t successfully impeach right now. We can’t claim to be upset with continued corruption if we lose an impeachment cuz it just makes it look like sour grapes, which plays right into Trump’s narrative. SO much has been fucked already that if we have solid wins, it’ll still be a long hard uphill climb to repair it all. So maybe jumping the gun for immediate gratification would be not productive. I’m hoping too, that this tactic will work. But hope is ultimately what’s left, but only after all logistical planning and tactics are executed properly.

Waiting until closer to the conventions or elections is the only thing that makes sense for why she wants to go slow.

Once it starts, trump will attack his own party in addition to Democrats, and he may lose 2020 allies that way. It would make presidential debates put him on the defensive: "you're being investigated to be impeached..."

More importantly though, I want the impeachment process to be a referendum on the Senate GOP: get them on the record excusing adultery, campaign finance fraud, lying to the public, etc., then use the footage for reelection campaigns.

I wish Congress would channel their impatience into mounting a humane response to the desperate refugee situation.
