The south elected Sarah "Dead Eyes" Huckabee to governor so I'm not holding my breath but I do like that he's shaking up a democratic party that needs to step out of the past.

Lotteries are taxes on poor people.

Here in E WA state we have 2 folk running under the D party for state lege. As usual, the Democratic Party establishment are offering no funding help as they do not see our part of the state as viable. So we the people are doing everything we can to fund these races. Stacey Willoughby and John Duresky.

UGGGHGGGG. Doesn't it feel like the only thing standing in the way of a blue wave is the party establishment? That and voter suppression, obviously.

Jones should have been Biden's Attorney General instead of the feckless Merrick Garland.

Pisto75666-Radical Left Scum's avatar

"Jones has a wild and crazy idea: How about having a two-party system again and electing people who will focus on making state government work?"

Sir, this is America. We don't actually DO that here.

More adult, wonky policy discussions, please, everywhere, all at once, etc. In The Olde Tymes before the internet drove thinking, and when I was voting for the first time, we engaged in policy conversations whilst sitting on bar stools, walking to class, over a coffee, etc. I would like to bring that back to our discourse.

Whoa! Actual government? In Alabama? That's *way* out there.

Biff52 Lost Canadian's avatar

Right? That's just crazy talk!

Bagels of Doom's avatar

That's way too much change all at once.

What I've never understood about Tuberville is that football is a very complicated game. I had always thought the first requirement of coaching success must be sheer intelligence. Then, along comes a dope like Tuberville. How did he win any games as a football coach?

Georgiaburning's avatar

Graduate assistants who do the work. Tommy shook hands with alums and did interviews.

Rooster Cogburn's avatar

His team scored more points than the other team?

Pexas Teat's avatar

Tuberville never coached the Crimson Tide. They tend to win games.

Ta, Dok. Is the Democratic Party finally waking up to Howard Dean's 50 state strategy? High time. So Alabama has a choice between an idiot who doesn't reside in the state and a Democrat who understands legislation. It will be interesting to see how they vote.

Alpaca22's avatar

I wish. Where I live in WA is deemed non viable for the D's so they ignore us every election time. We have a large non R voting block that is being dismissed.

OT:

Apparently, an American jet has been shot down over Iran.

Jumpin' Pete.

This is why we need to end this war. A lot of people have died already.

BBC reporting one pilot rescued, Iran claims elsewhere that one pilot has been captured.

There are pictures of one ejector seat so I'd assume both crew ejected. That's an assumption.

Murdock scoop on Hegseth. Guess who's next.

WASHINGTON — Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s top aide Ricky Buria told colleagues last year that he and his boss donned disguises and went out drinking together — a juicy bit of gossip that’s widely believed to be a lie and recklessly planted to sniff out leakers, The Post has learned.

Two sources said that Buria, 44, told them separately in early 2025 that he and Hegseth, 45, slipped past the secretary’s security detail while he was staying at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Pentagon City.

So, Donvict Trumpus, Pedo of the U.S. was shown war games detailing how if the U.S. attacked Iran, Iran would close the straight of Hormuz, and we would lose.

Did the convicted felon and failed businessman not understand something so simple even a slow witted child could grasp it, or did he just not care?

Yes.

RocktonSam's avatar

Slow witted child reference is very offensive.

FukuiSanYesOta's avatar

You say that but they might have red hair.
