In Which Paul Manafort Learns That Bob Mueller KEPT THE RECEIPTS

Oh, THAT memo!

Sucks to be you, Paul Manafort! Robert Mueller's office has filed a Paul, I Am Your Father Response to your You Ain't My Real Daddy Motion. Turns out that the Special Counsel is actually the boss of you after all! WOMP WOMP!

See, in March, Paul Manafort's lawyers argued that the Mueller investigation had exceeded its mandate. How even could they investigate Manafort's one million alleged money laundering crimes with Ukrainian cash in 2012 when the ratfucking took place during the 2016 election and involved Russia, a whole 'nother country? The people demand political accountability from Prosecutors Gone Wild, investigating whatever crimes they stumble upon willy nilly!

The appointments can be made only by politically accountable officials (the Attorney General or Acting Attorney General). The scope of the Special Counsel's jurisdiction must be limited by a specific factual statement identifying the matters to be investigated. And any expansion of authority beyond that original scope must be approved, following consultation, by a politically accountable individual.

But, hey, lookee here at this August 2017 Memo from Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, a "politically accountable official," to Robert Mueller on "The Scope of Investigation and Definition of Authority." Robert Mueller was nice enough to include a redacted version as an exhibit in his Answer to Manafort's Motion to Dismiss.

Gosh, looks like it gives the Special Counsel the specific authority to see whether Manafort

Committed a crime or crimes arising out of payments he received from the Ukrainian government before and during the tenure of Viktor Yanukovych.

So much for that bullshit argument that Mueller is an out-of-control prosecutor with a "blank check the Special Counsel has cashed, repeatedly!"

NOPE! Robert Mueller went to Rosenstein in summer of 2017 and got specific permission to get all up in Paul Manafort's grill about the Ukrainian money laundering. But thanks for playing, Uncle Pauly!

The motion to get the case tossed because Mueller had exceeded his authority was always a long shot, designed more to throw sand in the gears than anything else. But Mueller is bringin' itin response. He's not relying on some squishy "matters that arise in the course of investigation" argument -- although that would probably have been a winner. He trotted out the previously undisclosed memo that says, "Bob, you need to check out all Manafort's dirty Ukrainian shit. XOXO, Rod." 

We don't know why these fuckers keep insisting Manafort's crimes ended in 2014 -- Gateway Pundit lied the same thing -- when Mueller clearly shows Manafort bank-frauding through January 2017. You're playing with the big boys now, Pauly. Did you think Bob Mueller wouldn't keep the receipts? PFFFFFT! This would be your cue to cut a deal, dude. This shit is not going away.
