Her family made tens of millions of dollars in the rent to own racket. She went to the finest private schools money could buy entry too. She's been called out on being a trustafarian who pretends she knows how The People live and struggle multiple times in the past.
If she's living on $40K/yr it's because she has the choice to do that, not because she has to do that.
That's exactly how social media works. She has 5K followers. Let's say each of them has 100 followers. She sends out a tweet. 5K of her followers see it. Plus 50K more from her followers followers. If half of them, 25K, retweet her post to their 100 followers, by the 3rd iteration, which could take seconds, 2.5 million people have seen it. And on and on.
How do you think those viral posts get millions or hundreds of millions of views in a few days?
Where I grew up the liberal Democrat ran as a Republican, won, and served 20+ years in the state legislature. Then his equally liberal daughter served another decade. If at any time either of them had changed back to Democrat they would have lost without fail.
Sure, if someone slugged one of us ten minutes into the first date, we'd call the cops and get a restraining order against their arse. But that's not how abusers work.
They carefully select their victims - preferably people who are already emotionally vulnerable, like survivors of childhood abuse. Then they isolate the victim from support networks, creating emotional, social and financial dependence on the abuser. Then they'll land the first physical blow - in a highly volatile situation like an argument, often while intoxicated.
And the next morning they're tearfully apologising, full of self-loathing and promises of never drinking again, saying they can't live without the victim and they'll kill themselves if they "mess this up".
Not to mention that leaving is dangerous. The time a victim is most likely to be murdered, is when they leave or the abuser learns they're planning to leave.
Yes, everyone (except abusers) would prefer it DV prevention was as easy as "She should just leave!". But it's not, and not acknowledging that only hurts survivors.
😉
"1 guest vote" is the new name for the kissybot.

Surely they can beat a confessed wife killer?

Shades of Newt Gingrich.
I'm surprised Newt's stuck with helmet hair as long as he has. She better not rest easy if she gets cancer.
Shame she wasn't pregnant. Then they'd take her murder (or rather, the "murder" of the Precious Unborn Babby) seriously.
No victim blaming, please. It's NOT that easy.

Those sixty probably admire him. Man knows what to do with an uppity bitch!
In my area, republicans are doomed to lose, but they always run. Why?
Nah. They can always explain away facts they don't like.
Ah, but he was a good Republican.
You're not wrong!
