The investigation of Minneapolis will find all the same problems.

I think Garland is using Biden's tactic of pretending there are two groups. In Biden's case republicans and MAGA republicans. I assume its meant to keep some of the knee jerk whining to a minimum.

Were they ever fighting that war? I recall street battles with a lot of unarmed users and a handful of low-level dealers, but that's about all.

Yup. You have a police state.

Beagles would be good police dogs, they have incredible noses and generally very nice dispositions.

how dangerous their job is

The last that I looked, if you take away traffic accidents (mostly caused because they drive like assholes) being a cop was number 28 on the list. I've done three different jobs that ranked higher on that list than being a cop.

Look at who becomes a cop, the high school bully, the ex-military adrenaline junkie, former criminals who didn't get caught, failed lawyers, and the like. When you have a corps made up of people like that it's not surprising what we ended up with.

Being condemned to fuck Bill Barr would be a fate worse than the firing squad.

IIRC Minneapolis has had multiple DOJ orders against them, and little if anything has changed.

It should be, but I bet it is listed a CiC and not public info.

People fear imaginary crime more than just about anything else. It is irrational bullshit, but sadly true.Violent crime has been falling since lead was removed from petrol. but you would never know it from the MSM headlines and Police media releases.Tangerweenie triggered an uptick recently by emboldening the racist bigots, but the general down trend has been solid.

The problem is going against decades of MSM and politician scare campaigns. Police shows that are full to the brim of violent and dangerous crimes, because that is drama rather than dull days of filing reports, uneventful traffic patrols and welfare checks that do not end in gunfire, but a cuppa and a cookie. Public perception is badly warped from reality and that suits the profiteers just fine thanks.

Yep.Without Covid and Traffic it would probably not crack the top 100 dangerous jobs. Most Police figures place Covid deaths as in the line of duty deaths, FWIW. Arguably so given necessary exposure, but also many anti-vaxx blockheads involved.
