It's common for homeless people, especially men, to claim they are vets to attract alms. Research has found that most are not veterans.

Am I the only one who would like to tie a McDonald's hamburger on a long string and drag it into heavy traffic for Trump to follow?

Could you cite the source for that? Thanks.

He's just following Reagan's lovely lead of closing down mental institutions in California when he was governor.

Without, of course, making an provision for the people who were suddenly turned out on the streets.

I live in the Pacific Northwest where there is a huge homeless problem. I find right-wingers want easy, simple black and white answers to the homeless, I've talked to more than a few who want them rounded up and put in concentration camps ... though they never actually use the word "concentration" ... or forced to work against their will like some Dickens debtors' prison. The fact that there is no one kind of homeless and every homeless person has a different story and different circumstances that led to them being homeless ... and which could happen to pretty much any of us ... is completely lost on them. The idea that there is no "one size fits all" answer to a complex problem is completely lost on them. Simple people with a simple worldview who think all problems have simple solutions. Trump's people.

It was disturbing to see the part where Heston peruses the secret "Fisheries Report" and discovers that the alleged " plankton protein " in protein packed Solyent Green does not come from anything in the ocean, because the oceans are, well, dead.

Well then, why doesn't anyone standing next to him ever look orange?

Also, that picture on the right is terrifying.

The fines are for things like loitering, littering, panhandling, etc. In other words, they're not designed to make them un-homeless. They're designed to make them not be seen.

If you really want the homeless off the streets, give them hoverboards and jetpacks.

I am guessing they were interested in "sprung structures" at first, because they thought "giant mousetraps! GREAT IDEA!"
