Speaking of your bears...I took my avatar photo at Katmai's Brooks Falls.

You should plan a summer camp-out at your actual home place, if anyone can make it all the way up to Godforsaken Lake, Montana or wherever the hell it is.

We could have a barn-raisin' or a barn-tearin' down.

I've lived here for 30 years and have not made it to Katmai yet. I did however in the past work as a guide for a company called Alaska Discovery. I took people on 5 to 10 day kayaking and canoeing trips. One of my favorite places to go was Pack Creek. Very simular to Katmai for bear viewing. I love those creatures. Lots of good memories there.

I went sea kayaking in Glacier Bay in...I think 1997 - also spent a couple nights in Juneau, one that featured what I was told was record heat, nearly 80 degrees. Very nice area.

I hear that. Mine rang for 3 days straight the last time we had a Volcano erupt. It Was 3 days of "No (insert relation here) we are fine, it's a thousand miles away no there is no lava, no we are not worried about our house catching fire." I didn't mind though, I've made the same type of calls to Down South after hearing about a tornado in a place I have friends and relations.

Very cool. Glacier bay is amazing. as to the heat when the mercury gets above about 65 deg we all think that the earth has caught fire and we are going to die, then when it hits 80 we are all like "WHY DO YOU HATE US GOD!!!!!!!" but then we realize that the sun is actually out for a change and we get over it then go party at the beach. Also too, in March I can spend the morning snowboarding, grab an awesome burger at the ski lodge, drive down the mountain, then go sea kayaking. I love this place, I never want to live anywhere else.

Iowa, Iowa. English is hard, I'm never sure when I'm supposed to say Iowa and when Meowa. Same problem I have with the IPhone and the MePhone.
