We eagerly submitted our tax filings ASAP as we do every January the moment we have our W2s, only to learn that once again we got fucked by the GOP's tax scam and I owed the feds $11. Ah well. I miss the days of my deductions actually having meaning and value.
"..make sure that the tax deductions are only covering actual business expense and not, say, hauling Supreme Court justices to Alaska for fishing trips."
But...but...hauling Supreme Court justices to Alaska for fishing trips IS business expenses!
The more you know: Trump is the fourth owner of his Boeing 757. Prior to the Rich Fuckwad Tax Cut law of 2017 only the first owner could take the depreciation tax break. The law extended that for used jets too.
What is the argument for that tax write off? What part of that shit, outside of carbon emissions, trickles down to the rest of us? They do it because they can. Nobody is going to call them out for it. The media masters are in the same club.
I am sure all of those millionaires and half millionaires don't file taxes because they are 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥, and have no earned income, and they donate 𝘢𝘭𝘭 of their interest and dividend income, and capital gains, to charity. They are just saving the hard-working government e̵m̵p̵l̵o̵y̵e̵e̵s̵ robots the trouble of reading their returns.
But if they tighten this billionaires may only buy three planes instead of five! Then jet plane manufacturing CEOs may not get their bonuses and stock options, maybe even have to cancel their "test flights" from Texas to Rome if they have to justify it! Then millions of workers will be laid off and the the airport in Atlanta will be deserted, with only an occasional single engine Cessna landing. Which will collapse the economy of Atlanta, the jewel of the Southeast US.? Then it will spread to LaGuardia and O'Hare and the next thing you know there will be no air traffic in America and everyone will have to use Greyhound buses, Amtrak, and railroad box cars like hobos to travel across the country because it would take too long to drive your electric car and charge it for three hours every 100 miles. Is this the America the IRS wants to see?
Based on this shocking news I am considering giving up on my vast and complex investment schemes. I am considering donating my vast reserves of cash to assorted orwellian right-wing non-profits who will do their best to press the boot on the faces of as many people who don't look like me as possible. While I will go and live in a drainage ditch and roast sparrows on a curtain rod.
The important thing is that the other people don't have a curtain rod.
Please tell me ELoon Musk got one of those letters.
Ta, Dok. Pay up, rich assholes.

"The NYT A̵P̵ also reminds us that Donald Trump’s 2017 Big Fat Tax Cuts for Rich Fuckwads Act...." DID NOT PAY FOR THEMSELVES as promised.

Dok with all the bad puns. That's what a Doctoral degree in Rhetoric will do to ya!
Are there really any ‘bad’ puns?
Puns are the life's blood of headline writers.

Donald Trump knew he was going to need a plane to fly around in to fleece the rubes.

Damn does this mean I have to pay taxes on my jet?
It's just a little jet. Doesn't go supersonic or anything...jeez.
Sons of Kali (or whatever. I didn’t read the book yet) have a word for these guys….
“the tax deductions are only covering actual business expense and not, say, hauling Supreme Court justices to Alaska for fishing trips.”
To be fair, that IS a business expense.
Actually, he was just "filling a seat." Ballast, so to speak. The REST of them were there on biznez.
Put him in the cargo hold then.
Tow rope or GTFO...
They can rent space on him for messages!

And I want to keep my golf membership.
