In my dark moments, I amuse myself by thinking of how annoyed rich Russians are at Putin right now. There's a coincidental amount of protests happening throughout Russia lately, both the anti-corruption one and the trucker one (weirdly, the truckers were prevented from receiving news about the corruption protests). Ukraine says the St Petersburg bombing might be govt directed because the news announced there were TWO bombings before the second device was found, that didn't go off. And the govt keeps changing its mind who did it.
After listening to the theories about using Big Data to micro-target voters, and old articles about how corporations could tell women were pregnant from their buying patterns so would send baby merchandise ads, and the Russian botnets creating false mob mentality to influence people and Russian use of terrorists, I immediately wondered if Russians were also targeting vulnerable people to radicalize them when I heard about the Fresno shooter. :(
