It’s not that people like Trump have no shame. It’s that their baseline of shame for being the monsters they are is so high they don’t even notice behavior that would make normies feel bad.

'And then the dismissal of Slotkin as a “lightweight, a stupid person.”'

You know that she's a white woman because he said, "stupid."

If she were Black, he would have said, "low IQ."

Janet Napolitano NEVER should've apologized.

The very worst thing White Democrats do so freaking often at critical points is CAVE.

WashSun/HuffPost: "Trump is considering the possibility of issuing mass pardons for junior staffers in his administration, according to The Washington Sun. As Democrats reportedly weigh how to hold junior members of the Trump administration accountable in any future corruption probes, the president is now reportedly thinking about widening the scope of his preemptive pardons to protect people in charge of implementing his policies as well as the senior officials who engineered them."

Huh. Didn't the Right lose its shit when Joe issued those preemptive pardons?

I watched Contact again, a favorite of mine and it never ceases to piss me off how religion poisons. Their refusal to think outside of what they have been brainwashed with is madening.

the neo-Nazis kept right on recruiting. They still are.

We’ve had centuries-long (by now) problem with right wing terrorism in this country, because it’s been tolerated as useful for the rich. Until we crack down it will continue.

If Dems win a large enough majority, they'd damn well better weaponize the government. And by weaponize, I mean enforce any existing laws, prosecute everyone who fucked around to the fullest, and enact new laws so that we don't have to go through the same shit in another 2-8 years.

Did Ms. Slotkin draw the short straw and have to say the RIGHTEOUS TRUTH knowing that she would have to endure the indignant reaction which every conservative keeps razor sharp and ready to use?

I'm glad she said it! But if any DEM pipsqueak decides to create some space from her position they will be considered dead to me.

“For serving their government” is code-speak for “I got mine; get yours, too.”

A former longtime Epstein assistant told the FBI that Epstein introduced Melania to Donald Trump, contradicting Zampolli’s account.

Good! Hope they saved it up on purpose. I can see how you wouldn't want stuff coming out in drips and drabs.

There's very little doubt of his crimes, getting him convicted is a whole nother story. I think he's hoping to stay in power till he dies so he never has to face any of this.

I hope I'm being overly cynical, but the record of the 2008 financial crisis - also largely a case of norms, that the financial markets didn't need regulation because they would efficiently and effectively govern themselves through market forces - doesn't seem promising to me in terms of congress pursuing genuine accountability and deterrence: Bernie Madoff goes to jail, aaaaand we're done.

I think Slotkin was too kind in her comments.
