Wait a minute. Didn't they complain when Hunter was getting a plea deal on his taxes, while getting the gun charge dropped? Winston Smith had to rewrite history once again.

ffs - I never cease to be amazed at how many stupid people demonstrate daily to a wide and very public audience just how stupid they really are, and forget that nothing dies on the internets, and we will be pointing and laughing at them DECADES from now.

eh, nobody in THEIR circles reads the snark directed at them, and there is no way to break through their self-satisfied bubbles of ignorance, so, ad far as they can tell their critics are just a handful of malcontents

Some other very stupid people seem to be getting quite excited by the possibility - or what they think is the possibility - of former Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin being brought to the U.S. to testify against the man who had him removed from his job - then-vice president Joe Biden. Shokin, of course, has been bitching loudly for some time that his removal was unjustified and corrupt, and he was fired for investigating Burisma, which was inconvenient for the Bidens. Especially Hunter.

I suspect that if the Republican Party dum-dums DO call on Shokin to testify, they will actually be doing Joe Biden a favour. It'll be trivially easy to show that the VP demanded Shokin's removal, not as Joe Biden, individual and father, but as a high-ranking member of the U.S. government and an instrument of government foreign policy.

The U.S. wasn't by any means the only power that wanted Shokin removed, either. The EU wanted him gone. The World Bank wanted him gone. The International Monetary Fund wanted him gone. Various anti-corruption movements in Ukraine itself wanted him gone. Shokin's own deputy prosecutor-general resigned in protest at the rampant corruption in the department. Shokin, in short, was never, as Donald Trump called him, either "very good" or a "tough prosecutor." At best he was a lazy, ineffective prosecutor, at worst, corrupt himself. At the time he was fired he doesn't seem to have been investigating Burisma, or Hunter Biden, or much of anything else. If Hunter's dad had wanted to derail or prevent any investigation into Burisma, he logically should have wanted Shokin to remain in his job and continue doing what he was doing - precisely nothing.

All of that is on record and provable.

Shokin, naturally enough, is not inclined to admit it. He's very eager to blame Biden's corruption for his getting fired. So by all means bring it on, fellers. I'm flush enough at the moment to afford lots of popcorn.

Which parts of which politicians of both major political parties do you want to hold, Ramaswamydingdong? I mean, if that's your kink, fine. Go for it. Just be sure to get consent first.

dang. you'd think they'd have their ducks in a row already for such an eventuality. instead we have competing conspiracies. reminds me of some classic November 2020 "count all the votes" / "don't count all the votes" sloppiness.

to be *begging* for this outcome for years now and to then be caught totally off-guard on the batshit messaging is pretty amateur hour.

" They’re only going after Hunter Biden on the federal gun charges because that’s the only one of Hunter’s numerous crimes that doesn’t tie directly back to Joe Biden."

That's what he wanted them to believe. In fact he asked Hunter to get the gun and carry out a series of hits for him. Dark Brandon!

When Turnip was relatively new on the scene, Conan asked Patton Oswalt if Turnip was good for comedy. He said essentially the same thing: that by the time you finished your joke about how dumb he is, Turnip would have already done something even worse, so there was no way to keep up with the stupidity. Pretty hilarious! https://www.chortle.co.uk/punching-ups/2017/12/08/38629/why_donald_trump_is_like_a_guy_taking_a_dump_on_a_sidewalk

The $2 billion hasn't been forgotten by the American peeps. They might have forgotten except the GOP keeps going after Hunter which reminds them about what a giant dog shit Jared Kushner is. At least judging from the comments to the NYT's about Hunter's indictment.

i like how in the early days it was Hunter and $3 million (i think it was?) of corruption and it was very very clear that many smoothbrains had issues mathing out the difference between billion and million. since 3 is bigger than 2 then Hunter is significantly more evil and corrupt than poor Javanka (who have to share that measly 2 even!). i saw this "confusion" happening multiple times.

i started either fully writing out all the zeroes or use millions alone ($2,000 million / $3 million or $2,000,000,000 / $3,000,000). bit harder to purposefully befuddle the smooths then.

And they seem to have forgotten the collapse of the plea deal from what, 2 weeks ago? 'Course, they'd just say it was part of the cover up.

Darn that senile Joe Biden and his mastery of Nth-dimensional chess!
