I agree with you except that they are not being blindly loyal to HIM. They are certainly acting like cultists about to commit mass suicide at the behest of their leader (and I hope mass political suicide is what they've just done) but they are sticking with Trump through thick and thin because he is their chosen front man and they want to hang on to power.They know he's batshit? Yes.But if he stays President the GOP gets to hang on to power and continue destroying democracy and the rule of law. There's certainly nothing to lose now by declaring loud and clear to the country, over and over, that the Republican Party has mastered the techniques of voter suppression and is using them to keep potential Dem voters from voting at all, and describing precisely how they do this. I'd say the last slim chance is to fight their voter suppression machine all the way from state level up to national and forget being polite or circumspect. Get as many Republican senators OUT as you can. And keep doing it.How Nancy Pelosi ever managed the superhuman feat of restraint of merely ripping up Donald Trump's speech is more than I know. He even had the gall to mention Frederick Douglass in his list of great Americans. The man among many he knows nothing about and never heard of and once even mentioned as though he's still alive. And who, as with Martin Luther King, Trump would be denigrating with some fourth grade nickname if he WAS still living.Pelosi is right. It was the most courteous alternative before her.
