The C of E that recently voted against ordaining women as bishops? Let them continue fading into oblivion, I say. The buildings can be preserved by putting them to other uses, preferably pubs, where we could adopt the Irish term 'curate' for an assistant barman.

The only religions that <i>haven't</i> been warring on women since Genesis are the ones that weren't around then ... and for the most part, they've all gotten around to it since.

At least they don't try to kill you if you dare to write down Y-H's name. But aside from the substantial absence of homicidal tendencies (admittedly, no small thing), there isn't a whole lot of difference.

I'm also a bit surprised that it rhymes in English. Translators of the <i>Deutsche Dichter</i> usually don't even try.
