I hate to block people because I believe in listening to all different viewpoints but for you, I’ll make an exception. What a disingenuous statement, and I think you know it.

LOL if the thugs running shithole dictatorships want to take you down they will plant whatever they need to plant on you in order to make that happen. Quit blaming the victim.

Of course because the gangster regime currently squatting in Moscow couldn't possibly have planted the drugs on her. I mean, our honest upstanding police never do that sort of thing here so certainly the Russians wouldn't either amirite? s/

I want the major sports leagues to step up on this. Not just the WNBA, but the NBA, NFL and especially the NHL, which has tons of Russian players. Make it clear they will do no more business with Russia until this is resolved.

"Although, that was enough for Donald Trump, who dismissed Griner as "spoiled" and took Russia's side over an American citizen."

Hardly surprising, given that he took Russia's side over all the American citizens, back when he was "President".

Absolutely. Um. Got any ideas?

that's typically what happens in most countries. You don't get to go back there for a non-violent drug charge, not get held for a crap ton of years.

Where? In Russia? Yes, I think we've established that Russia is a barbaric failed shithole. They've been murdering peaceful innocent Ukrainians for almost a year now.

I just can’t picture Putin trading the high-profile American prisoner (hostage) for anyone we could offer. I’m surprised he didn’t yet say he would trade her in exchange for Donbas. Maybe he did and we never heard about it. I still can’t picture him following through on a deal if he had one. Do we have any oligarchs in our possession who have hidden riches he’d like to acquire?

Maybe it was something that they’d never hassled her for previously, assuming any of it actually happened. Russian red-tape is notoriously easy to circumvent for a price, or if you are a celebrity. She might not have even ever been informed that it was a real issue. Laws are not equally applied there, and a lot of them aren’t taken seriously. So, it being her fault is largely subjective. We have plenty of laws that are commonly ignored and that only get enforced when it’s convenient for a specific agenda. People periodically write lists about them just to highlight how bizarre a thing it is.

Your language smacks of it.

George Floyd accidentally broke the law by having a fake $20 as most have at some point or another. Remember that.

I'm wondering what even could be done. as long as he can parade Brittney Greiner around for his own benefit he will.

NO, this wasn't her first time in Russia. She fucked up. Griner knew she was a celebrity, and whether tired or not, SHE FUCKED UP AND FOUND OUT.

Just wondering, have you spent time in Russia, or are you just making stuff up?
