Yes, I have been driven from NYC to Detroit-ish (whatever town was manufacturing La-Z-Boy chairs) so I and my classmates could do our practicals when we were studying to become colonic hydrotherapists. I think the drive was about 14 hours. I love Wonkmeets, but can't make it to the Halloween party. Have fun, everyone.

Politico: "House GOP votes Jordan out as its speaker pick...

In a shocking turn, Jim Jordan on Friday lost an internal GOP vote that was intended to show confidence in him remaining as his party’s speaker designee."

I had to laugh when I saw a MAGAT blaming the democrats for that.

Yes, it's quite insane to have to blame anyone else for your Party's (obvious) failures. And why should the Dems "help"? First off, they refuse to ask for help. Secondly, as AOC clearly stated, at no point in US history has an opposing Party voted for the Speaker candidate of the Party that won the Election and (technically) controls all the votes to elect a Speaker. It's the march of the insane and delusional. They don't have the capacity to be honest, even with themselves.

Oops. Anyway, a Speaker is supposed to be able to count before calling a vote. Fucking dumbass.
