Tapper has been balls to the wall for the past year. He's been telling Republicans to "stop lying" for at least the past year. He has not been tolerating fools gladly.

Whisky with a drop or two of water is a very different animal than whisky on the rocks. My personal preference is no ice ever with any decent grade of whisk(e)y, but I like my (gin!) martinis on the rocks. Having pontificated thusly, I should probably point out that no one should give a shit what I think, because who cares, and especially because I don't even drink anymore.

Chuckles has always been a toady. I was kind of shocked he handed Ron Johnson his nuts on a silver tray the way he did. I'd watch him more often if he did that on a regular basis.

I like a good gin martini on the rocks too. I'm an American. I love ice. However, I now feel like a worm drinking single malt with ice. Just because you're a nice person, I will try my next drink with just a little water and no ice. I might like it.

It's complicated. Molly Ivins came to the conclusion that a great deal of homophobia (not so much the fascination with gay sex, per se, which is another issue) is basically "What if we're in the shower at the gym and a gay guy comes on to me and doesn't take no for an answer?" Ivins realized that what they fear is male sexual aggression.

Her response was, "How does it feel, guys?"

I cannot prove it, but I think part of it is also that most people are at least a little bisexual. I myself consider myself straight. But every once in a while I will see a woman that turns me on. For instance, I would do Lucy Liu if she ever asked.

Given our culture, especially in the past, how do you think a guy, maybe not all that well educated, might feel when he realizes that he, at least occasionally, finds other guys sexually arousing?

Panic. Denial. Obsession. Hatred. More panic.

But it is complicated.

America has always been full of assholes. Oh, and really great people too. We're just more aware of the assholes right now.

I never watch these shows, so maybe I'm no judge, but I just watched the Chuck Todd/Ron Johnson yelling fest and I didn't think Todd made his points so well. Johnson kept repeating the same lines over and over, but Todd never said "these allegations have been proven false." I thought Johnson did a better job of owning the narrative.

But they are all assholes.

I have a feeling they'll go vote even if Trump tells them not to. The dimwits are so partisan, they HAVE to show up to support the team. Even though the team always shoves them in the locker after they've pantsed them.

Yes, he was specifically appealing to people who think "the election was stolen from them." He was literally begging them to not "self suppress." Even the "decent" Republicans can't help but be partisan hacks.

Amen. I think the key is "more aware of"- assholes make headlines and sell media advertising space.

I am convinced that the majority of Americans are still good people and the November election has confirmed that. THERE'S MORE OF US THAN THEM.

I cannot tell you how awesome it was to climb down this rabbit hole. The Polythene Pam/ She came in through.../ plus the drum solo thing is one of the best transitions/drum solos ever recorded. Fully re-energized me, and then I got lost in a bunch of re-mixes and out takes that are phenomenal to hear.

Made the afternoon fly by. Thanks, sincerely.

(I recommend digging into all the re mixed versions of the album, there are a bunch of home and demo tracks, all kinds of weird fun stuff. I found them on Apple Music).

I'd like to add Maine to the list. How in the hell did Susan "He Learned His Lesson" Collins get re-elected there?
