So main thing Hill Watchers are looking at is "do Dems take Senate and If So what happens in Lame Duck Period?"

See, GOP Senate currently have 2 priorities:

1) Pass government funding (requires Dem votes)

2) Third reconciliation bill they promised Johnson (would like to ignore this one b/c most of them think it's illegal anyway)

Government funding CURRENTLY runs out Dec 11th. They have FOUR workweeks between now and then (took all of Thanksgiving week off, allegedly Thune is seeing if he can claw Monday/Tuesday of that week back/do remote negotiating and meetings during it). The Senate moves SLOWLY.

IF they lose the Senate and one of the GOP SC Justices tries to retire and be replaced before the new Congress, Schumer allegedly has plans to drag that the HELL out to make it very unlikely to work. And that is only IF Thomas or Alito tries it.

And also Senate Dems ain't passing the DoD budget until they have Hegseth's scalp on their desks.

House is shot to hell til new Congress. All they're gonna do is pass messaging bills and MAYBE do the budget. Expect Johnson to keep sending people home early.

Oil down nearly $7.00 a barrel. Funny how when Iran talks peace, the price of oil drops, but when Trump talks peace, people time their taco trade.

Stacey Abrams says what a lot of us were thinking about Haley Stevens bringing literal KKKansman Mike Rogers to a Black church

Haley Stevens is apparently pandering to the type of voter who panics and holds their child’s hand tighter when they see a man who they think looks Middle Eastern.

Pooping his pants is about as far he can go.

I'm just glad this is coming from Carlson. It's still worrying, but he is suspect for a variety of reasons.

Yeah, like “Obama opposes the peace deal.” Oh, fuck off, Tucker.

EyeQueue's avatar

If he does that, we need to rise up and thrash all of them.

All of them.

Allegedly in some states people have been calling the board of elections in a panic b/c Trump isn't on there and they think it's a Nefarious Plot Against Dear Leader...instead of a midterm election he's not running in.

The median voter, everyone!

Shameful.

I hate this fucking country and the load of SHIT we have been sold about it.

“They cheat on ballots, they cheat on votes, they cheat! They cheat!” Trump continued. “If you have men in women’s sports, open borders for everyone, transgender everything, mutilation of your children and so many other things… if you had all of these things, the only way you can get elected is to cheat.”

This person is insane. And it just gets ignored. None of that shit is happening. In his soured pudding brain, that's his reality. The 'reporter" he said this to should have taken the Tiedrich challange; "What the fuck is wrong with you?" He's nuts.

I guess I'm a little "transgender everything" curious. As in, it sounds spicy!

I'll take the 'so many other things'! Wheee!

Yep.

I want MAGA to suffer for unleashing this on us. Stinking fucking pigfucks.

And that’s why the NY Times is helping republicans as much as they can. They’re basically all but endorsing the GOP at this point.

Nate Silver Says NY Times Election Eve Polls Show a ‘Blue Tsunami’ — Pushes Odds of Democratic Senate Takeover Above 80%

Nate Silver can kiss my lily white ass. I watched a video of a DJT candle burning for hours on November 8th, 2016. I was absolutely SURE that Hillary was going to win, because Nate said so.

Stay on target! No hopium until polls close.

Thesaurus Wrecks 2547's avatar

By all accounts the blue tsunami should be absolutely true. But there are two factors that still give me pause.

1. Most Americans still get their news from conservative owned news sources.

2. Republicans are always scheming to ratfuck our elections.

These campaign texts are weird.

"Hey PG--quick heads up: tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 3 is election day. Who you vote for is secret, but whether you vote is public record."

Then, "find your polling place etc."

Are they encouraging me or discouraging me to vote?

The postcards to swing states I sent out had a very similar message. I thought it sounded vaguely threatening 🤣

Does this mean that Republicans are about to find out that openly acting as sycophants to an out-of-control lawless authoritarian is 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘰𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳?

Schmannity's avatar

It's unpopular now with Democrats and independents. Still popular in the current GOP.
