Oh, thank you for that. I just googled his name to make a contribution, but when i noticed the "monthly" default, I thought there was something hinky. Maybe it's an Act Blue thing.
Other Act Blue donation pages don't do that so I think it must be the individual campaign staff that sets it up that way. It really annoyed me, and I have had several more emails from them but I still think he should be donated to since he sounds like a good guy and maybe has a chance to win? Especially starting a well-run campaign so early. Hope so anyway.
I lived a bunch of places in NY (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island). I actually ran into a girl I went to junior high school with in Beaufort one day. She was my waitress, and I recognized a NY accent, so I asked her where she was from, we figured out we went to the same junior high school. I asked her name, and I said "oh, I used to know you." She didn't remember me from a hole in the wall, which was weird, since her brother and my brother were good friends. Small world...
She started talking about how all the Messicans had taken the kitchen jobs in NY. I didn't tell her that I thought she was a bitch when I was younger, and she probably hasn't changed. I'd be willing to bet she voted for Trump.
It definitely is a small world. I've got my sister in Manhattan, friends in Manhattan who used to live in Brooklyn, and my husband (who grew up "West of the Ashley" as he calls it) lived on Long Island for a few years.
All this rain we've been having after all of those weird hot and dry days has been crazy, right? I love the thunderstorms, though.
We needed it too. The weeds that cover our yard and make it look like we have actual grass if you don't look too closely were all dying and brown and it looked awful.
I hope the hurricane season isn't bad this year. It would be a miracle if it wasn't, though. Have you been staying or going for the ones we've had brushes with the last few years?
I've been getting ready to leave, and then staying because they all veered off at the last minute. I've got my fingers crossed that it won't be so bad this year.
I will be casting my vote for this gentleman, just as I did for Joe Cunningham (who I NEVER thought would win!), and as I did for suspected sex offender Alvin Green.
NOTE: suspected sex offender Alvin Green was suspected of being a flasher, and was dead broke, yet somehow came up with $10,000 to get on the ballot. It was suspected that he was backed by the GOP, so I voted for him, just as a "fuck you" to the GOP.

Yeah, she sounds like an asshole.

I desperately needed the water for my plants. They were all severely dehydrated. This year has been strange as hell.

When you mishear the advice to get yourself a big Glock.
Same here except it's an old girl and a rambunctious young male. His idea of play is to leap down on her as she walks by. She fucking HATES him too.
